Seen the banner saying "lazio Vaffanculo". Is this another fine coming for the self proclaimed best fans in the world as it seems to have disappeared now.

Might be in reference to the right wing Lazio 'fans' matching through Glasgow today giving Hitler salutes.

If you only turn up to moan then do it elsewhere

The green brigade are a mouthpieces only, embarrassing for Celtic and slogans and banners which get fine after fine and why uefa haven’t closed this part of stadium is beyond belief. The is more a more sinister small group controlling all the so called green brigade kids.

Hope this isn't a dig my direction as there is nothing pro nazi about my original post. Only stating about there banner and if it would be another fine for Celtic caused by the same section of fans who have racked up a few fines for there club already this year.

Aye, it was a good game with a dramatic finish. Some save by Forster from Cataldi's cracking volley. I actually thought Celtic played better football in the first half, up until they got to the edge of Lazio's box. The Italians are a good side and won't pass up so many chances in the return game. Celtic will do very well to come back with a point. Can't see it though.

As for some of their fans, if they ever moved over here, they'd be right at home in the BNP, with their hatred of black people, Jews, gays etc.

Like Raymie/GG Celic edged the first half and unlucky to go in behind but some result to turn it around. Scotland need another 5/6 ryan christies.

Just saw in a pic today that Lazio fans had unfurled a banner with a pro Mussolini slogan along the pavement in Buchanan Street. Looks like it was at least 20 yards long judging by the couple of dozen morons lined along the kerb holding it.
Do they not know their country is the final resting place of so many Scots, including those from the city they were defiling by their presence, who fought initially as foes and then as friends to rid the world of this evil? Was it their aim to provoke the locals?
It would have served them right if some Glasgow grannies had duffed them up.

I have no problem with fans expressing a political opinion at a football match, especially if it's anti fascist.

I don't much like Celtic, but I'm happy to share a common enemy with them in this instance.

ITALIAN fans have hit out at the Green Brigade over their ‘Brigate Verde’ banner.
The Celtic fan group displayed the large green banner, complete with a white star in a ring, ahead of last night’s 2-1 victory over Lazio.
But it stoked controversy as it bore a striking resemblance to the emblem of a left-wing terrorist organisation, the Brigate Rosse – the Red Brigades.

Active in Italy in the 1970s and early 80s, they waged a decade-long terror campaign that included the kidnap and murder of former prime minister Aldo Moro.
Many Celtic fans disputed those claims however, and argued the banner was a reference to the Brigate Fiamme Verdi – the Green Flame Brigade.

The armed partisan group operated in the Italian resistance during World War II, and was predominantly made up of Catholics.

Looks like the game in Rome is under severe scrutiny by EUFA, no matter what the provocation Celtic are sailing very close to the wind. They cannot keep making an erase of themselves and expect to be hit with small fines

Obviously EUEFA don’t see them as the best fans in the world, I’ve no idea why!

Not even close, VEE. I thought the Generalissimo would have come back to explain his quirky post and I thought an auld hand like yourself would have needed no explanation. Spurs and Ajax can both count on support from fans of ethnic Jews in London and Amsterdam as can Lazio's city rivals, Roma.

Since many Lazio Ultras have an extremely right wing outlook, you won't be surprised to learn that they hate Jews as well as Africans, Asians, gays and anyone who doesn't support their beloved Lazio.

Lazio seem particularly good at stealing yards from throw ins. One throw in was at least 10 yards from the halfway line and he ended up over the halfway line with the throw. Why do refs turn a blind eye to this?
