Another one sent back down the road with his tail between his legs. Who’s to blame though?

Davie Moyes might consider either position.

Maybe not, just seen a BBC article in which he has ruled himself out.

Did Moyes not pocket a huge sum when he was sacked by Man U? He doesn't exactly need the money, so he probably prefers to wait until a more high profile job comes up, probably in the EPL.

It's easy to assume that when football managers are out of a job they are sitting at home twiddling their thumbs, living off their last compensation package. In fact they are probably involved in football somehow, whether coaching, scouting, consulting, doing media work etc. I think Davie Moyes said last night that he also does work as a delegate at big European games. The top managers can afford to be very choosy about when they return to active management.

I think Davie Moyes also needs to be super careful what club he manages next, he has made a series of bad choices, and is not on the radar of any 'big' clubs, could be like Steve Clark, doesn't need the money, but needs to get going again, or could be enjoying what he does at the moment- he has vast knowledge.

At least he won a league game - more than Frank Sauzee ever achieved, if memory serves.

The one victory was in the cup against Stranraer so he never won a league game.He was sacked after a 1-1 draw with us.

From the BBC Sport website :-

''... Ross could be in the home dugout for the visit of Motherwell on 23 November and John Potter is to leave his post as first team coach at Sunderland to join him.''

Jack Ross confirmed as head coach with a three-and-a-half year contract. JP is expected to join him.

Potters family recently moved back up to Fife while he commutes a couple of times a week, so it's a no brainer if he's offered a job at Easter Rd, even if the Hibbees are just a wee team compared to the Makems. ☺
