Yet again, we let Flannigan dominate this game. As per the last game at EEP, he controlled the middle of the park with ease. He would drop deep to collect the ball and neither Paton nor Turner pushed up but instead marked empty spaces where there were no Alloa players. It appears that the management team learned nothing from the last time. He was easily the best player on the pitch, but that wasn't hard as none of our players went near him.

That’s two defeats and a draw against the part-timers in this league. I’m glad Partick and Morton are here; they’ll save us from relegation.

While paton has been decent over the last month he does tend to sit very deep which leaves the other midfielder exposed. We abandoned the 442 earlier in the season as we lost the midfield. Seems like it’s back again and we’re just hoping nisbet scores more than they do.
We’ve had a series of immobile midfielders who have to sit deep over the years.
Maybe it’s time we try beadling in there. Hopefully beadling and thommo get a chance as for me they are miles better than Paton and turner.
Although I’d imagine the captain is someone you want in your team every week so we’ve made it hard for ourselves.
Just sitting here drenched in my own negativity!

He'll be 32 in January and has been at Alloa since 2013. I doubt he'd be interested in going full-time now.
