Don't think we need another centre midfielder - we have:

Beadling
Thomson
Paton
Turner
Todd

Morrison can play there if needed as well.

Would much rather look at Rhys McCabe again who is a free agent but as above, don't think we need one.

C'mon Ye Pars!

Barjonas made a decent impact whilst with Raith last season on loan. Unless its Rangers planting the story to try and drum up some interest, it makes me think we're maybe planning for Cochrane possibly going back to Hearts.

Can say the same about all players on loan .Its a gamble they come in get game time improve our team and come Jan they can be pulled and we are back to square 1 .
Ithink you can manage loosing 1 loan player but 3 is a big ask .

Up to this point McDonald,Cochrane and Coley haven't contributed much and as they have hardly played or we have cover we wouldn't really miss any of them. Kiltie's contribution has been head and shoulders above the rest of the loanees and would easily be the biggest miss IMO.

When I saw Coley in the first game of the season against Dundee I thought he had a lot to offer but it never materialised and he's only started 2 more games since then.McDonald hasn't kicked a ball,Cochrane has been disappointing in the main and we have plenty cover in that area.I wouldn't be surprised that in some cases it would be us terminating the loan rather than the parent club.

Greg Kiltie has proved a major component in the team's recent revival.

He must be retained. He says he likes the Club.

The other players, while young and hungry and talented, are a long long way short of Championship standard.

Yes Kiltie easily the pick off the bunch but I think Cochrane has had some good games and Coley showed some flashes - all have contributed in some way. Unfortunately McDonald has been injured. Overall we have done pretty well I would say.

Any signing is a risk but I would guess a loan signing may cost us a little less in terms of wages or at least gives us more flexibility then signing players on year long or longer contracts.

Kiltie is the only one worth keeping. I preferred the look of Matthew Todd to Cochrane. For me loans need to improve the team, and some of these ones are just holding back our young players. Would be good to see Bruce Anderson back

Coley isn’t ready for first team football at anywhere near this level and will hopefully be sent back to make space for someone who is more proven in a first team of any standard. Feels a bit like Jackie Mac has given him a huge change to shine here and he’s looked well out of his depth so another prob heading down to non league.

Cochran has improved but is too lightweight for this league and too tackle shy, doesn’t have a key pass in him either so needs to step it up if he’s to get near hearts first team when he goes back. McDonald has been a total waste of a loan.

As said kiltie would be hard to replace. Decent players who can make a difference at this level are unlikely to be available in jan or at least the end of jan when clubs try to get surplus players out on loan.

Just sitting here drenched in my own negativity!

Agree with red-star about Anderson. Thought he was the best of the ones we've had in recent times and would be good enough to make the team, not just for development. Has been unused sub with Aberdeen nearly all season so far.

Altho I want us to make the play-offs, I don't think we are anywhere near having a team to compete in the bottom half of the top tier, at least one more season in the championship for me please.

The point is that, if the Club surprised us all and, like Livy, made it to the Premiership; our team would not be our current one.

The moment Livingston were promoted ,they gained from the inequitable broadcasting revenue all the Premiership receive ,plus their share of Celtic's European pay out.

Today they often play to Gates less than a derisory 2000, yet their income is enviable.

To have any hope of that scenario Greg Kiltie has to stay.We need a new goalkeeper and the young loanees should be told thanks and returned to their parent clubs.Bruce Anderson would, indeed, further enhance the squad.

Turning the speculation round the other way, could any of our players be possible targets for other clubs? Nisbet is the obvious one but Ryan Dow would be a good acquisition for a lower-half Scottish Premiership club and wouldn't be too expensive with only 6 months left on his contract. He'd be a bigger miss than Kiltie.

Dow's already been released by Dundee Utd and Ross County and has a checkered past with injuries.I reckon that would put a lot of clubs off and is probably why he was playing in League 2 last season.

He's playing in the Championship now and has only missed a few games. I see he played 39 games last season so I don't think injuries are an ongoing problem. I'm just going by my own judgement based on what I've seen this season which suggests to me he could play comfortably in the SP.

Fair enough.Personally I can't see it-when he was fit he was on the bench most of the time at Ross County and only started 17 games in 2 years. At Utd he started 51 league games in 9 years. He's 28 and has only started 119 league games over his career(73 substitute appearances) at an average of 9 starts per season and that is boosted by his appearances for Peterhead. He's been a good signing for us but I would be very surprised if a Premier team wanted him particularly with how that division is shaping up this season.Looks like it is going to be a battle with 11 points separating 5th from bottom.

He's a big player for us though so fingers crossed he can stay injury free as we missed him for the month he was out.

At this point Andy ryan hasn’t done enough to stay on past this season, he’s got loads to do and I’m not sure how many chances he will get in next 5 months, he’s had plenty and just hasn’t shown enough. If he’s cheap maybe consider as 3rd or 4th choice striker. He’s better than McGill who looks woefully out of his depth too, cheers for that one Jackie.

Sign up kiltie, dow and beadling for next season if possible then add a few more and we’ll hopefully improve again. Just need to hope half the players we bring in improve the team as with Jackie around we’ll like bring in a few of his boys who would struggle to get into the Kelty team.

Interesting with paton, has done okay in some games and they have made him captain but his legs have gone so wonder if they will offer him another year...

Jason Mcgill stood by Mcnamara at York when he got them relegated twice so it's Mcnamara's turn to do him a favour by finding a club for his son.

Work colleague told me McGill's dad was a director at York City which helps join up the dots on that one.......

Looks miles off the required standard unfortunately and, more worryingly, totally unfit anytime i've seen him even coming on as a sub.

The decision to bring him in has bitten Stevie on the bum big time.

Any remote chance we have of a Premiership Play Off spot depends on us signing a competent, experienced goalkeeper.

McDonald has played for 2 teams this season already so isn't an option. his loan is technically up every week as its an emergency loan to cover the injury to their no1, presume they will try and make it a normal loan next week.

the other names I don't see any of them being available/options at all.

and Barjonas a centre midfielder wouldn't be an ideal replacement for Kiltie.

''In regards to a new GK what about Jamie Macdonald at Dumbarton?''

Do you mean Jamie Macdonald who is on loan at Alloa from Killie? If so, I think someone pointed out that a player can't have three clubs in the same season.

I believe his current deal is only an emergency loan and might not count. Only quoting what I read on pie and bovril so might be nonsense

^^ cant remember the poster's name, QOS fan that's always on the mark with that stuff, said this morning basically the 2 club rule still applies so he isn't available.

Stewart will end up at QOS id presume, seems too obvious.

as for the hope/desperation/expectation on us signing a keeper, think some people need to prepare themselves that it wont happen.

Skyline Drifter or something like that, he runs the admin side of QoTS so he usually knows his stuff with regards to the rules/paperwork.

Please no Ruddy.

I suspect we won't be bringing in many. At some point you have to look to the players you have to step up. I think the other teams in the league are probably in a similar position to us so it will be an interesting fight for survival for the clubs from 3rd down.
