Surprised Thomson’s been dropped and Turner keeps his place. Turner has been woeful and a fully fit Thomson a real asset in this league.

Strange team all round really. Ross in from the start is a huge call given he's only just joined, is just 18 and won't have started any games at this level yet. Not sure where he'll play, presumably its 4-3-3 today and he'll be beside Paton and Turner? Think Ayr are quite a physical team so having Turner and a young laddie making his debut gives me the fear I have to admit. Here's hoping I'm wrong.

Point proved. If Crawford thinks he is our best midfield option we are doomed.

Take it easy guys.

Turner has the ability to turn into a decent player with the right coaching. Unfortunately, he will not get the right coaching to improve at the moment.

Ross I think he would have benefited from another year at Stranraer to be honest.

This is full time fitba up against professional players. Before a ball is kicked he’s lost every physical battle.

another year on the 3 or 4 he already had with them, with over 100 starts? it would achieve nothing.

"If Crawford thinks he is our best midfield option we are doomed"

he was the better option between him and Thomson which doesn't say a lot about the latter who might be fit but as salton says has been poor since coming back.

I thought Kyle did very well today and was probably our mom. He should have had a shot when keeper was off his line though and tried one touch too many

I may be proved wrong when the highlights come out but I think it was Dow who should have shot at the open goal.

I thought Turner had a good first 20 minutes and then disappeared.

Paton and Kiltie were good in the first half - no-one with pass marks in the second.

Yeah, it was Dow. Clearly not confident in his ability with his left sk had to try and work it onto his right or to another player.

I wish Turner would just concentrate on doing the simple things well. Far too often he tries something outrageous, or picks the wrong option or runs into traffic or ignores the obvious simple pass. He's like Higginbotham in that regard but at least you got a bit off end product now and again as well as some dig from Higginbotham.

Turner did a bit better than the Alloa game, but continues to make the wrong decisions with his final pass.

Turner being spoken about as if he’s 17/18. Edwards is 19 and gets slated after poor performances. Turner repeatedly puts in poor performances and gets away with it, despite the fact he’s the same age as Joe Thomson and Kevin Nisbet and will be 23 this year.

He seems to have lost the confidence he showed at the start of the season when he would shoot at any available opportunity. Now he seems more inclined to pass and it's often the wrong option.

He may be the same age as Thomson and Nisbet but this is his first season as a full-time footballer. That transition may not be as easy as fans might imagine.

Wee eck not all players can be motivated to be good enough and not all players improve.

At 23 he’s not going to fill out anymore and might not get much better, it’s worrying that after getting bullied by teams for the last few seasons were still signing lightweight players and wandering how we’re still getting pushed off the ball, not winning the tackles and never win a header or second ball in the middle of the park.

The gap between a decent seaside league player and full time pro in the championship is large. Espechailly for a player who just can’t compete physically.

We used to have a midfielder who could out-muscle every rival in midfield...but you didn't like him either.

I really don’t think Turner is being given a fair crack of the whip here, he is probably one of the most gifted we have, the issue we have with him is that he very seldom plays in his best position (in my opinion just behind Nesbit)

He is deployed in various roles and never settled into one position, it is therefore unjustified to allocate blame for all of our misgivings to him, as usual for Pars fans we are starting to look for scapegoats

The fans in the main have been patient with our young players during games and only at the end of a poor performance are they venting their displeasure which they are fully entitled to do

The last few games he just dumps it off to the nearest player which is mostly back. His confidence is clearly shot drop him as playing him seems to be making thi gs worse for him.

Wee eck you would think there would be a middle ground between a small lightweight player and a big lump who can barely move and couldn’t jump?

How come other teams seem find these guys? Doherty for ayr strolled it on sat and he’s not a midget, slow or a big lump. I would like to think Beadling could do this for us but he needs the support of a Joe type player instead of being on his own in the middle of he paton is playing.

I’m not sure if turners best position is just behind Nesbit, his final ball has been poor over the last few months and it always seems to be the wrong option taken. Kiltie has far more quality for that role. Turner may get that chance if kiltie goes back though.
