...of the Championship teams are in a precarious position. Within 3 points of the relegation playoffs.
I wonder how many are calling for manager sackings.

Is it maybe, just maybe, that we are getting very good crowds for our level, have a loyal fanbase that pumps money in every week and results are nowhere near reflecting that fact or the fact we are a big club and should be up at the top challenging? Don’t give me that “should be happy to have a club” shoite either.

Fans have a right to expect more. They happy clappers are what’s going to see this club turn in to a team like QoS or Morton.

Alloa fans aren't happy
Morton fans have a "time to go Hopkin "thread
Partick did change their manager
Arbroath are performing admirably
QOTS they seem happy they have hung on to Dobbie

Outside of the zone you mentioned Dundee fans are notoriously restless and are incredibly quick to turn on the team, they are not convinced by Mcpake.

In this league every team bar Dundee United has gone through long good/bad runs and come out of them. All their fans tend to think theirs is the only club experiencing such inconsistency but they aren't.

I see we're getting the usual stuff about budgets when no one actually knows what each club's revenues are or, just as importantly, what each club's overheads are.

Theres mixed bag runs that teams go through, and then there's Crawford record as our manager which is disgraceful. Murder in the cups, murder in the league. The cheap option taken by the board has produced exactly what would be expected.

The whole situation is bad management from the very top down

How do you expect me to know what specific overheads are higher than other clubs but have you ever been to Gayfield, Alloa, Cappielow, Somerset Park, Palmerston?

Maybe best not to say we have bigger overheads if u don't actually know?
Yep been to all them thanks. They all have stands which require staff on matchdays, running water, electricity, gas etc. As we do.
There hasn't been much in the way of works done in the Norrie since it was built. Not been in the n.w. since the Norrie opened so can't comment but can't imagine much has changed either.
Every summer we hear it's volunteers who clean and paint the stand so no costs there.
The only extra costs I can work out, are the undersoil heating that we don't have to put on if we don't want to and putting away fans behind the goals when they should be in the main stand.
The away end should only be open for the 2 Dundee clubs.

So where do you think the money from the Lifeline goes if it doesn't go on overheads? Don't you think our rates will be higher than those of other clubs?

It was a serious suggestion to ask the club, by the way. I'm sure they'd be happy to supply the answers but I think some fans prefer to speculate. These questions always seem to be asked when we have a bad run. No one seems interested at any other time.

It's not the kind of information fans are likely to take a note of or remember in detail unless they're really interested in it... in which case why not go to the meeting?

“It’s not the kind of information fans to make a note off”?? So why would they go to the meeting?
I can’t make these meetings so surely it’s ok to ask fans who have been?

No. Lets be rightfully pissed off at where we are, but patient enough to develop at a pace we can afford.

Dundee are above us and want Mcpake sacked.

It's almost like teams will have different expectations based on what they could be achieving if they adequately managed, at the moment we are absolutely, unequivocally underperforming.

I doubt we will be looking to change the manager any time soon. End of the season will be the time to judge rightly or wrongly. If we are on a downward trajectory its more complex than just the manager. I get the feeling all is not well at the club. Ryan clearly wants away for more game time. With other loan players going back we are going to have another unsettled team for the remainder of the season. It seemed a bit of an emergency measure to bring a player in on loan and put him straight into the side. What message does that send to players who have been at the club since the start of the season. These circumstances do worry me a bit.

Fans have been crying out for a left-sided wide player all season so it's not surprising Ross went straight into the team, especially when it seems Hearts have recalled McDonald.

So the manager doesn't matter as long as fans say petty things?
