Not surprising given recent indirect comments by SC and in the press. He will make way to bring someone else in on loan. I would imagine there may be one or two others also. The poor recent results could be due to some issues internally so best let players move on if they want to.

When given the chance from the start he couldn't do it.
As proven in the past, division 1 top scorers can't always do it in the Championship.

“ As proven in the past, division 1 top scorers can't always do it in the Championship.”

Funny you should mention that, as I think League One performances are a big part of our scouting. Since 2012/13 every league one top scorer has gone on to play for us, except for Shankland (who had been on loan to us before):

2012/13 - Clark
2013-14 - Moffat
2014-15 - McManus
2015/16 - Faiss (when with us)
2016/17 - Ryan
2017/18 - Shankland
2018/19 - Nisbet

Only Clark, Shankland and Nisbet went on to prove themselves as regular scorers at this level. Of course, Shankland did so for Ayr/Dundee Utd, whereas Clark & Nisbet have scored 15+ league goals in a season with us.

A shame it hasn't worked here as there's a player in there.

I'd take Bruce Anderson back if he's not getting game time at Aberdeen.

The new manager is still trying to establish a pecking order hence the likelihood of the two loanees going back there

Anderson scored a decent winner for Aberdeen v Livi over the festive period and started their last game as a result-unlikely to let him leave I would think.

The club still haven't confirmed the Hearts players return on the official website, yet we all knew Saturday and Hearts announced it today, given we're often the last to produce the team sheet on social media dont be surprised.

Where is that said? I can see it happening as they have lost an on loan forward.

Would be an absolute disaster.

the interviews are done on Tuesdays.

and denied it at that point because maybe....just maybe... there hadn't been an official approach at that point, Ryan hadn't made an indication of wanting a move etc etc.

Do some fans really think that being 'transparent' should entail telling the football world our business before it actually happens?

That makes me think that we will still be paying a significant portion of his wages.

Why should I apologise for anything the club does? Anyway it wasn't 'reported' last week, it was rumoured. Unfortunately some folk don't seem to know the difference.

I doubt Airdrie will have the budget to cover his wages so I'd assume we will be paying a portion of them.

You're always apologising for everything the club does, try to have some balance and your views will hold more substance.

Reported

- cover an event or subject as a journalist or a reporter
-described or talked of, but not verified or confirmed

both these apply hth.

On Tuesday Iain Russell who played with Ryan at Airdrie confirmed Ryan was asked in a group chat if he was coming back and he confirmed it

I still can't see why the club should have reported last week something that hasn't happened until today. That would have been very unprofessional. When did Airdrie 'report' it?

The club will be i
Looking at lots of options and Ryan possibly asked to get a loan deal and more game time to showcase himself before his contract is up. Possibly we wanted to keep him but not offering him an extention yet. If he felt insecure he would want the loan deal. Every decision by club or player affects the next move so of course the manager will keep his cards close to his chest.
