 Jason Dair
Topic Originator: EEP

Now his name has been mentioned in threads but I would like to ask if he actually coaches the team? Dundonald Bluebell wanted rid of him so does he take training etc?
The board have been silent for a long time and I just wondered what the management structure was like now?

He left dundonald, they never tried to get rid of him. Yes he is a coach like potter was, so presume takes training and assists manager accordingly like every first team coach.

I would like to know what coaching qualifications Dair has to work with the 1st team? Is that such a bad thing to ask?πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

I would think most fans know the reason he is our coach , doesn,t seem to have done anything of note that qualifies him for the position , perhaps the board who presumably interviewed him could enlighten us

The first team coach coaches the first team. Where's this one heading, EEP?

EEP you seem to be posing a lot of questions recently...
Why don't you contact the club directly with your questions?
It's easily done.
That way you might actually get some answers if you're that concerned.
Just a thought.
Carry on

I'd bet he's forgotten more about football than you'll ever know. Take your immature, pathetic, personal vendetta against individuals at the club and ram it. Amazed you're not actually a Sevco fan given your personality disorder.

Maybe it is time for a change in manager and coaches, but ffs your attempts to stir resentment against individuals is cringe worthy.

Wee Eck SC is the manager of the team and in any normal football environment looks to his assistant as the 1st team coach that can take training sessions?
Does the coach actually have the experience to work with SC?

I presume he's 'done his badges' - just like Joe who should have been employed as a coach as soon as he qualified apparently.

Dair was announced as 'First team coach' when he was appointed so why wouldn't he coach the first team? You're nothing but a stirrer.

He has a fair bit of experience at having been an Assistant Manager, although in the lower divisions, . He really does need to have a look at his LinkedIn profile though, as he has listed some of his previous roles as "Proffessional Footballer"

We have a failed manager at East Fife and a 1st team coach that took over from Nish at Cowdenbeath then took over Dundonald...
And folk think this is acceptable...? The board really have a lot to answer

One thing I will say is that Dair and Crawford should be massively incentivised to get this club playing decent fitba again.

Both are currently in roles where they have been overpromoted for no good reason. If the get relieved of thier duties here and want to stay in football they will be dropping down a good few levels I’d imagine.

Was Crawford not on a 1year rolling deal? We need to change this to reduce the possible costs of replacing and not rewarding failure with a years money (if this is still the case)

Just sitting here drenched in my own negativity!

Chairman - Hello, Mr Crawford. We are going to change the 1 year rolling contract your on, so it's easier to sack you with less cost.

Crawford - Okay then.

Yep, can see that working.

We don't actually know the terms of Crawford's rolling contract. The assumption that it is a one year term is pure guessology.

Berkey lives in a wee world of his own which is totally detached from the real world. A few weeks ago he said we should give up on the promotion play-offs. Can you imagine the manager's motivational talk to the players communicating that decision?

Crawford was confirmed as 1yesr rolling contract by the club, but at no point has compensation been detailed, and rightly so.

The assumption that he would be entailed to a full years wage if sacked is possibly wrong, in the same manner if he was poached I would imagine the club would be looking for more than a years wage as compensation.

I'd be livid if somebody turned me down for a job based on a blip in my cv 10 years ago despite the fact I'd gained loads of relevant experience in the intervening period. Presumably EEP would accept this without question though.

His 33% win record at EEP a "blip" too or is he just not a manager?

Mr Calderwood who is seen as one of our best managers in recent times "only" had at 38% win rate

Jimmy Calderwood was managing for most of his time when we were in the Premier league. When we got beat is was by Rangers and Celtic not by Arbroath and Alloa.

How did we manage to take Brewster from Hibs and the Young brothers from Aberdeen to name but three? This is nothing to do with having a 'chubby' for Crawford (what a disgusting expression by the way). It's a statement of fact. How do you think we ended up in Administration eventually?

"One day that chubby for Crawford will abate.."

always appreciate you descending into playground retorts.

We ourselves were part time nomads more recently than we were Giants on the european scene. maybe we are at the level we deserve to be, ahead of the "minnows" but behind the "bigger boys". Promotion to the premier league to spend Β£x improving entire squad. Fans asked to pay Β£30 to watch games.

There will be another list of moans and highlighting failures/inadequacy at that point. Be as well start a next manager out thread already given we never see anyone as good enough.

Anybody who thinks because Crawford is on a 1 year rolling contract he would be entitled to a full years salary doesn't know how a rolling contract works. The likelihood is that within that contract there will be an agreed notice period-he would be paid for whatever that notice period may be.

I would think the advantage of a rolling contract from the clubs perspective is that it will cost the same amount no matter when it is terminated and therefore the club can budget for it.

Yes but he had a premier league squad plus the run of the Bank of Scotland. He wasnt skint with a team of youngsters and seaside league graduates.

I really hope the team has worked on their game and we really need a result against Morton.
All I am asking is does our current management team have the experience to keep us in the Championship when looking at their past jobs?

I remember the day Bert & Dick were hired in 1993 and being totally underwhelmed. I had never heard of either of them, all my mum kept saying was "Bert Paton was your grandads' favourite player."

What followed was one of my favourite spells supporting the Pars. Might not have been pretty to watch in some peoples' eyes, but for the supporters it was tremendous.

You have to wonder if we'll ever get close to that again. Always live in hope.
