One Year With Crawford In Charge
Topic Originator: parsloyal98

I took to Twitter and made a thread of the highs and lows of Crawford’s tenure in charge of the club.

https://twitter.com/cammyanders/status/1215652191786217473?s=21

The thread features his managerial record, highs and lows of his tenure and my verdict on his time in charge

Enjoy 😎

Agree with what your saying.

Genuinely don’t know where the next league win is coming from and it’s more likely that the other team will have a shocker or be in crisis than us playing them off the park when it eventually comes.

We’re never been far away from the next losing streak under crawford.

Just sitting here drenched in my own negativity!

Think its pretty plain to see our management system has been chaotic to say the least , no drive on the park and even less from the dugout.

All over Scotland there is the annual excitement of the preparation for the Scottish FA Cup.Not for us,of course.Crawford's disastrous first year ends as it began with the implications of a wretched Cup result.

I had to smile reading the review of his year in the "Dunfermline Press" by the gallant Ieuan Williams Page 63.It is meant to be the highs and lows though the former are pretty threadbare.

There it is all is in black and white. The 2794 who went to Starks Park and froze as did the team.Just when you thought SC could not sink further we had the wretched Stranraer result. Then there were the humiliations at Alloa,Arbroath and Edinburgh City, then Alloa at Home.

Taking over the Club ,who were three points behind the Premiership positions; we ended up with 1 point from the last 24 as we just dodged the cliff edge.Though ,thanks to Callum Davidson ,there was, briefly, some optimism.

Gates are down 18%. Seasons are down 1000. We have had five defeats in a row.Apparently he sits till 9pm wondering what to do.Getting a competent experienced goalkeeper would help.I will enjoy the televised BBC Cup games. At least SC will, not be "disappointed" this Saturday.

Stevie always reminds me of the Black Knight in the "'Tis Only A Scratch" sketch in "Monty Python And The Holy Grail" 1975.

According to the trustworthy Wiki, they are down by 7%. Average gate is 4663 apparently.

I find that hard to believe. Majority of games this season have been in the mid 3000 mark, have they not? Maybe the Dundee games have bumped this up.

Wasn't that his 2nd or 3rd game on charge? Bloody hell I know we're in terrible form but to say he should have been sacked at that point is bonkers man.

He shouldn't have been appointed though, why on earth he was appointed on a permanent basis, rather than an interim one is an absolute joke.

Fair enough this thread is all about Crawford and his shortcomings, albeit it’s not so much a debate but rather a consensus view. However can we put to bed the myth that Davidson was some sort of utopian guru. He was here and just as culpable as craw, shields and the alleged footballers during the 5 game losing run last season.

Without his standing as a player he would be hounded out, appalling record, the heads are down and the only inspiration from our manager is to stick a finger up to the many midfielders at the club with increasingly bizarre team selections.
I heard up and down season mentioned....didn't hear many saying "as long as we scraps above the part timers we're good".
Many are claiming that now though which is a bit weak imo.

I Hope You're Ok Today....
