I'm looking at the team and thinking must be struggling for midfielders and then I glance at the bench and see 3 of them. Must be Martin in midfield surely

Yeah Murray or Martin in midfield?

Dom walks in and the young lad from aberdeen straight in then straight out....

Some of the midfielders on the bench must be carrying knocks, no way are they behind defenders to play in the middle of the park....

Certainly making the changes....

That is a bonkers looking team. First thing I saw was McGill starting. Not sure what he's done to deserve a start unless there is some kind of tactical set up where he'll be useful (maybe we're hitting it long to him to flick it on?). Then saw Murray and was quite pleased til I saw Devine and Ashcroft there too. The way the team line was published makes it look like Murray (arguably our best centre half) will play in midfield? Ross dropped to the bench when he looked promising in the first half last week. Thomas in from the start looks good but where will he play? A midfield two of Paton and Murray/Devine with Thomas and Dow wide doesn't sound the most mobile... this could be interesting to say the least.

How has McGill gone from not getting any time on the park despite chasing for goals in last 4 games to starting?

I don’t think there’s a plan.

I like Murray but very heavy pitch today and he’s had very little game time this season as only coming back from injury means along with paton it’s the least mobile midfield since nat and sheils!

First goal is huge.....

Have major doubts about Crawford but given todays conditions he can justify the team selection by putting ball winners in the middle of the park in what looked likely to be a scrappy game.

Some nice build up play from Cadden and eventually header in. Not long after Thomas cross/pass intercepted by defender with Nisbet in position to score if nit hadn’t been intercepted.

Liking Murray in midfield, some steel where we have been lacking, lots of creativity in the bench if we need it later

Interesting line up from SC today, looks like he has taken a wee tumble to himself and realised the game plan needs changed

Thomas looks lively and likes to get an early ball in

Agree Kenny - much more competition for balls from Murray, McGill and Nisbet. Thomas causing problems down the left and almost set up Nisbet for our second goal but for a last ditch interception tackle from defender.

Sounds from the audio coverage that while our goal was coming the same could be said for the equaliser. Interesting that Hopkin made a change so early - I wonder if it was tactical or die to an injury - and that it had an impact with Jacobs getting further forward with Tumilty coming on.

Really? I'd keep Comrie, Ashcroft, Martin Murray and Lang.

Why on earth would you keep Lang? We're in January and hasn't kicked a ball. Waste of a signing.

If results stay the same then Crawford’s position is simply untenable.

No excuses, no further backing, no more time to “get it right”. He simply has to go.

Don't know how many times we need to play ashcroft with Devine before we realise they don't work as a pairing. Maybe Murray can work with Ashcroft but our defence needs a lot of work, we've leaked too many goals over the last few games

Scoring first seems to be important in this League (and in fact we don't do well when we concede the first goal) but we can never seem to hang onto the lead. It's beyond awful.

Stevie Crawford was one of my Pars hero as a player and will remains so, it hurts me that he is not a manager I so wanted him to be a success, but he must go now.

The Chairman and BoD need to act and their role needs to be scrutinised also.

Simple stats
Pars played 21 games , 25 points
Morton played 20 games now on 25 points
QOS played 19 games on 25 points

I think its obvious what way we are heading ( and it's upwards)

5 games without a point It's to show just isn't good enough

If we had a decent keeper they never would have scored their third. Ghana internationalist Richard Ofori who plays for my local Maritzburg Utd in our top league here would have clattered through the attacker and punched or caught that corner.

I think every supporter has been crying out week in and week out for us to get another keeper in ! but Crawford insists on playing a keeper that is simply not good enough !! and unfortunately Gill is in the same boat
As week after week it's usually a goalkeeping error and if it's not that it is our Centre backs Ashcroft and Devine who just cannot defend and always leave opponents free to score ( same mistakes week in and week out )
we all know Ashcroft and Devine together are crap so why does Crawford insist on pairing these two up ????
I have had enough of this crap on offer just now

Scully did well in his first spell with us but it seems he has gone downhill since. Neither current keeper is dominant in the air and both prone to howlers as well as good shot stopping saves. Very disappointing that a new keeper was not announced as our first window signing as we have known for ages this was a big problem position. Let’s hope a plan is underway and a new keeper will be announced soon.

Still preferring the current team to last season and some reasonable signings despite a much reduced budget. The two new loanees look useful and players like Comrie, Dow, Murray and Nisbet positive. Kiltie did well too. Be interesting to see what Lang and Murray could do if Lang can get fit. The difference between success and failure in a competitive league is small. However I worry about lack of motivation and our level of fight after going behind.

Due to the controversy over Ryan Scully coming in one year ago.Stevie, clearly, felt he would lose face by replacing him now.

Every supporter knows that was the most important position which had to be sorted in the January transfer window.

We face a relegation battle and heaven help us if Ryan Scully remains in goal.

In life failure to recognize and acknowledge you made a mistake can be costly. Better to acknowledge it and act positively to correct it. Let’s hope a new keeper is very much in the pipeline but just being held up for some reason.

Dominant central defenders often can make a keeper look good ,Goram almost never had to come for crosses ,due to good defence in front of him ,pity ours are poor defending crosses and equally bad at our corners
