 Rangers v Stranraer

Game on Premier Sports, should be watching the Pars instead of Stranraer tonight. Looks like a decent crowd at the game. To think the money from tonight's tie should have been ours we could have signed a decent player or two.

It's utterly staggering that there's a special edition of Sportscene on tonight dedicated to this game. They're not even allowed in the ground. Pathetic

Not strictly true, par4life. Had we drawn the game at Stair Park and won the replay at EEP, number 32 when the draw was made would have been "Stranraer or Dunfermline," instead of Stranraer. Had we won the tie at the first time of asking, we would have had a different number.

I'm incredulous that this game has been televised and even more gob smacked that anybody who isn't a fan of either club would even contemplate watching it. The Christians had more chance of beating the lions.....

To be fair the live BBC game is on Sunday and is Dundee Utd v Hibs which should be competitive. The fact tonight's game is on TV will certainly help Stranraer I would imagine.

The neutrals will be queuing up to watch us next week :)

It’s only 1-0. Fair play to Stranraer.

Maybe they’re not so rubbish... 😉😂

Am I correct, watching the Dundee Motherwell game. I was positive that I heard Lamont the commentator saying that Dundee despite getting beat by us managed to win on the first day of the season?

Folk can watch whatever tickles their fancy, but I was looking at the game as a forgone conclusion. Therangers virtually fielded a reserve team and Stranraer just pulled everybody back behind the ball, even after they went behind, allegedly. They had no attempts on goal, whereas Sevco had 33, according to the BBC website.....

You're both wrong; it was a 2-2 draw wasn't it?

When I was a teacher hisfather was my headmaster for several years. I could writ a book of stories about him but one I will tell is that he was a blue nose and when they beat us in League Cup Semi 5-0 he came into my classroom when I was teaching and started to chant 5-0 5-0 when he walked out the kids told me that they hated his club and felt sorry for me. I think the son is like his dad and mouths of without thinking.

I think his father (Ian?) was at university at the same time as me and I knew who he was through mutual friends. I've always suspected his son was a bluenose!

Wee Eck, his dad Ian, came from one of the West Coast islands, possibly Coll, his mum came from Clackmannanshire.
