 Hearts v Rangers

Just started on sky...

Would love to see hearts come down to championship so (much as it pains me to say this as never want to see the bigot brothers win locally) hoping for a rangers victory

EDIT: It has just been taken down. Have to say it looked like an official SPFL stream.

2-1 to the Jambos. Whoever would have thunk it?

Hearts may just have handed the title to Sellick. It's hard to see Therangers recovering from such a kick in the err nether regions.

Have to say Boyce is a terrific signing for Hearts, they must be paying him a fortune... Cochrane and McDonald not in the match day squad, can't see them getting a look in

Think hearts have done themselves a bigger favour than celtic. 3 points from safety now and good win for manager

My nephew was at the match and said " tynecastle seemed like a different place today, even before the match started the full stadium were up for it"

East End Park is a symbol of all that is DAFC.

Back to bottom of the league for hearts!

Assuming we won't go up, Hopefully hearts get automatically relegated (good crowds, easy /good away game and would be funny as! 😂)

I have very mixed feelings about this, DBP.

Yes, Hearts would bring great crowds to EEP, but only a couple of times in the season. Otherwise, they would be by far and away, strong favourites for promotion.

I strongly suspect that next season is being targeted by our board as the year we should go up.

On balance, let's have a smaller club coming down.

You're just an auld cynic, BPP. 😉

Didn't we have Hearts, Hibs and Therangers, all playing in the Championship together, just a few seasons back? We should have been in it, too but we painfully lost out to the Blue Brazil in that play off final. ☹

If ever a time was ripe for reconstruction, that was it. I think Aberdeen and Motherwell have been saved by reconstruction in the not too distant past.

Motherwell were saved at Falkirk's expense so that was ok :-)

I think Brockville didn't meet the daft 10k seeting rule that put quite a few clubs in debt and the ground share plan they had was rejected by the top flight clubs.

If we had Hearts, Rovers and Falkirk in the league it would make a huge difference to the budget for the season. I do however agree with the “let’s have a smaller club coming down” scenario which would give us a real opportunity to get back to the premier
(Assuming of course we don’t make it this season, which I doubt will happen however......)

I loved the away games at swinecastle!
Easy to get to, for me it's the best ground in Scotland in terms of being on top of the action and it's 20 mins away.
I'd also be much more excited about going to EEP when hearts were the opposition compared to someone like Hamilton Academicals.
Rovers hearts and Falkirk world be brilliant and would make the season a much more exciting prospect. not only would we potentially get more away fans, but maybe even more home fans turning up / season books sold

Brockville hardly meet criteria to house livestock, it was a shocking dump of a ground due to Falkirk doing little or nothing to upgrade it over several decades.

True but that was part of the "charm" of a visit there. It added to the feeling of a hostile atmosphere as you were stood in what could have been the remnants of a warzone that nobody bothered to clean up 😉
