A few Celtic fan pages on social media confirmed he’s joined us on loan too. He’ll be a good guy to have in the team

a replacement for Ryan in the squad, a totally different type of player though from what ive watched on youtube.

if there is any truth in the link/talks with MacLean as well, a loan for McCann (ideally after signing a new deal too) would be useful.

I must say I love it when a signing is announced completely out of the blue with no rumours beforehand!

We're missing EEP's valuable inside information on these deals!

McNamara surely can’t get stick for McGill but no praise for Nisbet, Conroe, Murray, Dow, Kiltie and now Thomas.....

He’s either signing everyone or not

I think we saw glimpses on Friday of what McGill can offer, he was very awkward for the Dundee defence and sitting midfielder to deal with, opening up a bit space for others in the process, he could become an asset imo...

I Hope You're Ok Today....

McNamara, like Crawford, Dair, Sheids and the BOD stock rises and falls on what results we get on a Saturday.
Its a young team lacking a bit of consistency but its getting there.
Personally I think all have been involved in as many ups as downs this season.
We don't really need any scapegoats at the moment people

I have a feeling about this signing. We needed someone of this calibre to partner Nizzy up front. Looks good to me.

Lovely wee back-heeler from Afolabi:

Plus a tasty wee dribble and assist, same video from 2.42.

His Irish accent seems to have become more pronounced since he joined the Hoops if you compare that interview with the one he gave while at Southampton (see RMG's post at 13:41).

calm down rasta! There's a lot more to football than chasing down the man with the ball and leaving your foot in.

Mcgill did okay on Friday but all his good work was when both him and the pars didn't have the ball. Unfortunately even at this level your required to do something when you get the ball and also show some intelligence in your movement when your own team have the ball.

Got to laugh at the youtube videos, i'm sure I saw some of coley and he looked like a player too..........

Still this guy looks to have a bit of statue about him, if he can control the ball,
he's defo a decent option. Hopefully he likes it physical.....

Just sitting here drenched in my own negativity!

That's the first time I've seen McGill start and he did just fine for me.

McGill played well on Friday, lots of forwards players make a very good living out of doing what he done. Hard work and eventually goals will come too.

I think he'll be more beneficial in certain games rather than other ones, he can be a disruptive influence certainly so where the opposition are weaker, or trying to play a possession based game like Dundee I'd play him, unsure how he'd do in a game where we have more possession and the defence and midfield of the opposition are sitting deep...
