BURY AFC will start their football journey in the 10th division of English football next season!

The club was formed by fans after Bury's expulsion from the Football League...

They have only put in an application. They are one of 11 clubs to apply for a place

Which football league club now holds the distinction of having the shortest name?

The name Bury FC is still there, so hopefully they can buy that for buttons (like Airdrieonians) but this is good, I see AFC Wimbledon as Wimbledon.

Hopefully 1/ there is some sort of resolution to the original club ( a few similarities to us) .Failing that, somehow get the use of Gigg Lane, although I think this is the problem.

This is a historical club, a team of the town, just like us.

When we almost were closed down, I would have still followed us even if we were in the lowland league.

I think that the good people of Bury have the club's future in their hands. If only a few hundred turn up for their games then they will struggle to go into a higher league. However if several thousand can turn up for home games they should get back to where they were. Hopefully they are allowed to play in the former stadium.

Sevco should take them over (although how one insolvent entity could take over another is another matter).. then they have their long held ambition of playing in the English league....after a few years of having to compete in a proper professional association that may even make the Championship on merit, ensuring the club complies with all rules
