 Fund Raising Suggestion

How feasible would it be for the club to put events on at the stadium on cancelled match days? I was thinking along the lines of opening hospitality, Legends, and/or Charlie D's and putting on some form of entertainment.

Perhaps we could have Sportsman's dinners in hospitality, one of Charlie D's or Legends could be used for live entertainment and the other as a place to meet up with your football buddies for a few refreshments.

Was it Buffy who organised a games day at the Coaledge Tavern with the Former Players Assocation? Something like that which involves former players would surely be an attraction?

You might not get too much uptake or demand QPR in light of the current crisis.

Also, maybe only a matter of time before the idea could be banned.

That is just totally bizarre. How are they going to enforce such a ban? Maximum of 4 in a car, bus, train, table in a restaurant, a bench in the park.......

Cafes’s, restaurants etc are to be closed. Essential travel for work and emergencies only. Not sure how they’ll enforce it on public transport though or it may be allowed for essential travel. Spain and Italy doing the same. Only a matter of time until it happens here as well.

All public events cancelled in Greece. The only things open are pharmacies, shops and banks, with limited numbers at a time.

Maybe just maybe it’s all erring on the side of caution, but events around the world show this is something where no-one knows.

Hi QPR yes you’re correct it was yours truly. However it was simply a meet up rather than games. It was quite successful too. Pars fans who came along were turned into giggly school children talking to their heroes.

I’ll happily turn my hand to baking / knitting / typing / getting involved with any fundraising.

How about tobacconists, SP? Folk who are stressing about the virus will need acwee smoke to soothe their nerves.

The old peripteros have been closing down for years GG. You’ll get your sigarretos at the supermarket. But you’ll need to queue.....
