Great idea.

I will donate the monies I would have spent at EEP today had there been a real match.

If I forget to donate - Margaret can always phone me to collect the debt!!

In these uncertain times, there will be many Supporters who are not in a position to donate.

That is perfectly understandable.

However,if you have just suspended eg SKY Sports or BT Sport, could you consider giving that sum, given you will not miss a regular debit?

Just up on the JustGiving page.

"Sol Bamba

To the greatest team I ever played for!"

One of my proudest moments at EEP is being presented with the Big Man's Away Strip. It was signed dispite many feeling he could not write or defend.

I just loved to watch him in all his crazy ways - and did genuinely think he would be far better with better players around him.

The Pars Family reaches right round the world.

If they can be auctioned off or just sold for the Fighting Fund that’s fine. I don’t collect programmes so they’re better going to folk who do.

Now if yer efter team sheets I’ve got thousands o them 😂

Justgiving do take a small fee but it's a platform lots of people are used to using so we thought it worth taking the hit. However, having the bank account means 100% of donations there go straight to DAFC so we hope to have covered all bases.

Have we raised £20000 or £12000? Posts say two different things. Also, does whichever of these figures is correct reflect the Just Giving contributions or does it include direct contributions by cash, cheque or (as mine was) a BACS transfer?. Whichever sum is correct it is a brilliant effort.

Well said da_no_1. It is a relatively small pool we have to fish in at times like these but the generosity of Pars fans in support of our club continues to astound me. I'm sure there will also be those now on reduced pay or maybe even without a job at all which makes where we are even more remarkable.

The wee team started their crowdfunding a bit before us so I'm sure we'll catch them in the fulness of time 😉

All joking aside, their fans have also done a terrific job....well done 👏

I put my hand in my pocket at nearly every opportunity , and certainly don't mean to sound tight , but surely season ticket holders have already donated their entry fee for the Arbroath game .
I'm certainly not rolling in it and at the moment am trying to put "something by " for next season's season ticket .

Perfectly understandable Parsweep and it doesn't sound tight at all. Thanks for any support you've already given 👍

Another fantastic donation of £750 to the fund from Pars TV from yesterday's broadcast. This brings the total donated so far by Pars TV to an amazing £2250. Thanks to everyone who's subscribed to the memorable match showings. Can't wait to see what's up next week!!

Brilliant effort by all.

Out of interest what is the plans once the £40k target is met? Is it to bash on and keep fundraising to as high a figure as possible? Apologies if this has already been discussed elsewhere?

It's another big beefy bonanza at the beefcake boulevard!!

No plans as yet bbc as the focus has been on getting to £40k. However, given that we're nearly there we need to give it some serious thought. Maybe once we know how this season will pan out and when next season is likely to start, we might have a better idea what additional support (if any) the club will require.

Great to see the Justgiving donations continuing. We've now reached the £17,000 milestone on our page. Thank you if you're one of the 379 who've donated 👏🏁
