Well if what someone told him about what someone else was doing influenced his vote then that's stupidity of the highest order and there's no point crying about it now.

What relevance does ICT vote have to L2 clubs as they were voting in the L1/2 group of 20 clubs - can’t see what bearing the Championship vote has on that?

It has plenty of bearing in that it appeared at one stage ICT vote was crucial to the outcome.
This was before the Dundee fiasco.

I think that is what is wrong here. Kelty and Brora should have been given the chance to join the league. Plus Hearts and Brechin will not get relegated however Partick and Stranraer will. Plus before anyone points out Brechin might have avoided relegation. Why on earth can we not just offer league places to Brora and Kelty. Hearts should come down.

That's not Kelty Hearts saying it, they are simply cut and pasting from The Rangers dossier of rumours.

^^ correct and Brechin were saved from a playoff, not relegation, cant believe Rangers got that wrong in their dossier...
the Inverness part, agree with parahandy, if it was a league 1 or 2 team then its a different story.

For me, just give Brora and Kelty the places, but don't know if the other clubs want an extra 8 games, never mind 2 trips to Brora, takes ages to get there.

Think about the Brora fans having to come down ever second week. That why I added if Brora wanted to go up.

I don't think they possibly could, I seem to remember before they were saying they would have a crack at it, but Highland league was their place.
It's a good league on its own, I've been to quite a lot of games, but the distances!
Scheme for kelty, would be interesting to see what would happen.

Brechins chairman will be laughing tonight, strange they are the only bottom side not to be relegated. I wonder who was on the board? Couldn't make it up, only in Scottish football, corrupt.

Like Buffy said the bottom is never automatically relegated. They go into a playoff.

Brora don’t want in the league. They stated this a few years ago when they got to the playoff. It would kill them financially with the travel costs. They are happy in the highland league.

If playoffs are cancelled in all leagues then Brechin stay up as can only be relegated by losing a play off. No different to QOS in the Championship.

Pyramid play off is run by sfa as lowland and highland are sfa both competitions.
Rules state each party has a 25% stake spfl, sfa, highland and lowland league. and all must agree to cancellation or changes to playoffs.
As of today neither kelty or Brora have been informed by SFA that playoffs cancelled.
What has happened is the spfl have refused to put a club forward. Kelty and Brora and leagues have confirmed this within their rules.

Highland league v lowland league. Winners v team 42.
Spfl have refused to put up team 42. Sfa control this playoff and have yet to declare it. Neither Kelty or Brora have been informed formally that their payoff has ended. Needs agreement of all parties to change rules, as it stands spfl have broken their agreement

Yes they do. It was Buckie Thistle who didn’t want promotion.

^^^^ Perhaps the same "Points per Game" averaging rule should apply to Kelty, Brora and Position 42 with the highest earning their place in the league.
This would show consistency whilst promoting integrity in the game.

How would that work then one team is at the bottom of their league and the other two are at the top?

It wouldn’t be fair. The only fair way is by the current play off system. Until Kelty play Brora there is no need for the SPFL to put forward team 42.

i suppose because it's not automatic promotion/relegation then when the individual leagues are called - it doesn't just happen... it's a bit like the playoffs from championship/spl - that "mini-tournament" can't happen

Highland league, Lowland league and Spfl league 2 all called early because completing this seasons fixtures were not possible and therefore the season has ended. All leagues effectively cancelled the playoffs including the Highland and Lowland leagues as the playoffs are part of the season.

SPFL now saying if Brechin were relegated they would have to go in the Lowland league ,Lowland league refused ,they were then advised that there positions in the Carmel wafer cup would be taken away .

Brechin saying it's nonsense in any case, and that they have verification from the other clubs to that effect.
Brechin's claim seems much more believable to me than the source of the original claim.
