During these lockdown times, it`s given everyone at Pars TV some time to reach out and speak to some of our former players who have contributed greatly to the club over the years. The first player we have spoken to is Lee Bullen.
Affectionately known as Bully, the versatile defender, midfielder and scorer of scorching volleys sat down (remotely) with Douglas Scott for over 40 minutes detailing worldwide travels in Australia, Hong Kong and Greece. Two periods at Dunfermline, his time at Sheffield Wednesday and moving into coaching.
We hope everyone enjoys hearing from cult figure Lee and make sure you check out the original match reports that will be listed on the story, from many of the games brought up in the interview.
This is a free stream, however if you`d like to donate you can do so on the [ Purchase link https://parstv.co.uk/index.php?CATEGORY=Purchase] and select the Lee Bullen interview. It is setup for £.1.00 but you can change this QUANTITY, say "5", to donate £.5.00. Proceeds will go to Support the Pars fund.
Please Note there is no actual stream as you can listen for free on the audio player on ParsTV when it appears on Saturday at 3pm.

That was a really interesting listen. I didn't know that Bully had been a member of our Youth Squad which won the BP Youth Cup back in the day. I wonder what prompted Jimmy C to play Labonte at Full Back rather than Bully in the 04 Cup Final? I wonder if the outcome would have been different?
Quite a footballing journey.
Thanks to all for putting that together.

I never really rated Labonte, and it was a shock to see him in the Cup Final Team. I do feel he should have done better with the winner

Did Labonte not play quite centrally, alongside Skerla, with Byrne on the left? I think we had 5 in midfield - the Youngs, Mason, Dempsey and Nicholson, with Brew and Craw up front.
I was as surprised as anyone to see Labonte start, but thought he played quite well against Henrik Larsson for most of the game. Unfortunately, he slipped twice, which led to a goal for Celtic each time.
Not your average Sunday League player.
