 The Lockdown Whisky charitable donations
Topic Originator: 1970par
Date:   Fri 5 Jun 13:42

We have two bottles of The Lockdown Whisky which have been very kindly donated to go towards raising a bit of cash for local causes (they have already been purchased to raise funds for the club and donated back to raise mainly for local worthy groups)

The first bottle Number 22 will be for the Local Paramedics team, they have been working particularly hard over the past few months yet they do seem to slip under the radar when the plaudits are being handed out on the media, we plan to sell the bottle number 22 to the highest bidder and pass the funds on to the Local Paramedic team to use as they see fit to benefit their team

The second bottle Number 3 will be for West Fife Support For The Vulnerable, a local group set up to assist vulnerable people round the area through providing food parcels and clothing bags which have been donated by local businesses and individuals, from a small beginning they have rapidly expanded and now support hundreds of families. Sarah Keeble the organiser was telling me that their volunteers are running round in their own private vehicles using their own fuel to deliver the parcels and some of any cash raised would go a long way to be able to help with fuel expenses with the remainder being used for the purchase of provisions for the bags, check them out on facebook

If you would like to purchase either of the bottles and therefore support these local heroes then please place your bid for either bottle 22 or bottle 3

Bidding ends on Sunday 7th June at 8pm, please bid in round pounds and follow up with an email to me (click on 1970par)

If you missed out on buying a bottle in the original sale then here is a second opportunity to pick up a bottle of The Lockdown and do a bit of good in our local community at the same time

Remember these bottles have already been bought and paid for to help the club and donated back to support our local heroes (who don’t all wear black and white shirts)

I know I’m the auctioneer but as I have a passion for both of these causes I will start the bidding

£30 bottle number 3

£30 Bottle number 22

Any advance on either bottle, thanks me for opening the bidding

I have been speaking with Sarah Keeble today from the West Fife Support For The Vulnerable, she is absolutely blown away with the offer to help

On another note I took her all of the soft drinks from the clubs bars today, they are in danger of being out of date before another fixture is played at EEP so the club generously donated them to this wonderful charity who are helping people in our community

I am so happy to have given a bit back by way of this purchase. Of recent times I have had the most fantastic, life saving surgery and care from our wonderful NHS. Kenny, thanks for holding another great auction, I will always attempt to support these initiatives to help our glorious club and wider community.

I’m so proud of my fellow Pars fans, its not usual that I would hold auctions to benefit anyone other than the club or its related causes however on this occasion we have reached out to our community to help people who are doing fantastic work albeit in very different circumstances

There is further brilliant news to share with this initiative so thanks to all who have been a part, Davy Crow, Stewart MacKinlay, Bob L, The Roy Barry Fan Club, Brian and of course those who placed an unsuccessful bid

I will request for a message of thanks from both of the recipients which will be shared

Thank you Pars Fans, once again amazing

The great news is that both causes monies have been boosted by a further £40 (if the donator wants to be made public I will leave it to them to declare) therefore :-

Paramedics now at £140
West Fife Help For The Vulnerable £190

Just fabulous, as previously stated, not all of our heroes wear black and white
