Sandy McNaughton I guess. Jim Mullin, maybe for a few games?

After Sandy left, we struggled for goals.

Grant Jenkins, Stevie Morrison and Rab Stewart were the main forwards. Gavin Tait even got a go.

Kevin Hegarty, Sandy McNaughton, Grant Jenkins and Rab Stewart probably the main strikers between Leonard leaving and Watson joining

Ian Hall. Good scorer think he died with leukemia while on or staff.

You are correct. He was a good player, mainly in the number 10 role and formed a good partnership with Georgeson

Georgeson preceded Mike Leonard

Sandy was the natural successor to Mike Leonard and both players were great strikers with Mike perhaps the most prolific of the two but Sandy did score our greatest ever goal at Kilbowie 🙂

If you only turn up to moan then do it elsewhere

I remember being at Ibrox in the early 80s in the Scottish Cup and I’m sure it was Rab Stewart that scored our goal in a lucky 2-1 for Rangers.

Both played at the club round about the same time but I think Mike Leonard signed a year earlier (1977 ?) than Andy Rolland (1978 ?)

As I was still a bairn at the time the only recollection of Andy Roland was a beautiful hot summer day and it was 2nd half behind the Cowden goals standing on the terrace and Andy scored a penalty for us to win the game.

"I remember being at Ibrox in the early 80s in the Scottish Cup and I’m sure it was Rab Stewart that scored our goal in a lucky 2-1 for Rangers."

It was Rab Stewart.

Rangers brought on big McAdam in the last 15 minutes and that saved their bacon.

A bittersweet defeat - my mate and I were just about to do a swift runner a 0-1, the locals were becoming increasingly hostile and we didn't fancy an Ibrox version of Rorke's Drift, The Alamo and the Little Big Horn all rolled into one.

"Ian Hall. Good scorer think he died with leukemia while on or staff."

Another sad early loss.

The other day I was reminded about Pars players / ex players that had passed in tragic circumstances.

Norrie McCathie, Gary Riddell and John Lunn - then Ian Hunter and Johnny Kilgannon.................had forgotten about Ian Hall.

RIP

Was Andy Roland not a right back? I re3his penalties which he always put just inside the keepers left hand post, some in the postage stamp and the odd one or two off the bar. And he scored the equalising penalty one midweek against Falkirk which got us promoted, I would guess around 1977ish
