It's the annual pantomime with the ticket site, for me at least.

Got an error about not having a certificate. Won't accept my login details from last year. Won't email me a new password. Help section is largely empty, but does say "Please find below some basic instructions on registering with St Mirren FC". Not exactly confidence inspiring!

Club shop visit then, whenever that opens.

As you say, parforthecourse, a pantomime. First time renewing online - or trying to! Hugely frustrating experience “errors processing your submission, password must be at least 8 characters” - all relevant fields have been completed & my password is more than 8 characters.....

I’m trying to be proactive & get money into the club ASAP. I’m afraid they’ll need to wait now until the shop opens. I suspect I won’t be the only one unfortunately.

just a word of defence here :o)
as you may (or may not) know I run some other websites and had issues with a simple thing regarding passwords, some not getting received

this was doing my head in particulalry when BTinternet returned plain text email with new passwords as spam !

I finally managed to resolved with the postmaster at BTinternet and only today they have finally changed their system to accept emails from my server. and lo and behold they are now getting through.

It has taken quite some time to get this issue resolved, it was effectively out of my hands until BTinternet resolved it, for which I am thankfull.

I dont seem to have the option to buy a family ticket and is it showing season 18-19 ( instead of 19-20) as last season for anyone else ?

Asked for a password reset for the 5th time today. No email received.

When you say "my server" do you mean a machine in your house, or is this running on a properly supported secured server hosted by a paid for company?

Why is the ticketing website apparently for the use of St Mirren FC too? Do St Mirren staff have access to data related to DAFC supporters?

Where is the payment data held?

parforthecourse,
I run my own (secure) servers in a similar manner to the ticket company (I'm guessing) (I don't have anything to do with it).
I'm just saying that sometimes the issues are outwith a developer's control until the far end resolve the issue.

I'm also guessing that the ticket company support multiple companies and that there is just an issue with a text message (that says St Mirren) instead of DAFC. the company details will be separate of course.

I believe I have misinterpreted your previous post. I thought your post inferred you somehow dealt with usernames and passwords for the dafctickets site. I see now that I was barking up the wrong tree. Sorry.

However, my questions around their site still stand. It's rubbish. I've tried multiple times over the years to use it, without success ever, and always end up going to the shop. It has spelling errors, technical errors, incorrect content, and above all, won't let me in to buy a ticket.....and I see from this thread I'm not alone.

DAFC should reevaluate their relationship with this supplier.

I think so, it's a long time since my son was that age. However his birthday was always after the season started. If you try to buy a ticket put his age into the ticket age area and see what happens.

can I ask you to have patience with the passwords, the club saw my post and asked me for information about my issue.
It may be related (and not directly the clubs fault) but its also not teh suppliers fault as such but a customers mail service provider.

I know how frustrating it is as I had to go through the same problem but hoepfully it can be resolved in a day or two.

While understanding the present predicament, the Pars online service has been a shambles for a good many years.

You have to think how much money we've lost due to people just giving up trying, particularly older people.

If you only turn up to moan then do it elsewhere

On the rare occasions I have managed to get logged in, my family ticket didn't appear. It wanted me to buy 2 single tickets at a higher rate. As always, ended up at the shop where the nice guy (Davie?) dealt with it efficiently.

I get that we are a small club and we don't have the overheads to spend on the latest IT system.
We should, however be able to have a ticket system which works and is fit for purpose. The whole interface and "customer experience" of our current system is not good, in fact it's terrible.
That's if you can get logged in to see it.
The fact that this has been going on for years isn't good.
It would be interesting to see if other clubs have this problem.

I'm 63 and got mine as a 60+ last season , and my uncle who is now 77 got his with a further age 75 or over discount .
I don"t mind paying the extra but it's a fair old hike in price for my uncle . For probably fewer games .

The Pars site has been a shambles for years and should have been replaced to enhance the purchasing procedure.

I've also tried to use the ticket website to renew two season tickets, but have been unable to do so. I notice the website is also reliant on Flash, which no one should really be using as it's got loads of security vulnerabilities, which is why it's disabled on modern browsers.

Will just wait till the shop re-opens...

Its quite saddening that at this time of need many who would love to commit some funds to the cause are unable to do so because the system is shoddy.

The message from the Chairman suggested it would be used as a gauge as to the size of budget available to the manager, with this in my mind surely the sooner he knows the better before potential targets commit elsewhere.

Do the directors know the online ticketing system isn't fit for purpose? I wonder how much it would cost to fix it?

If there's no money available I'm sure some fans could fund it.

For the attention of all complainants. The issue is known and is being dealt with but will require patience as these things take time.

can I ask you to have patience with the passwords, the club saw my post and asked me for information about my issue.
It may be related (and not directly the clubs fault) but its also not teh suppliers fault as such but a customers mail service provider.

I know how frustrating it is as I had to go through the same problem but hoepfully it can be resolved in a day or two.

You would’ve thought sufficient functional testing would’ve been performed on the ticketing site prior to putting season tickets on sale.

Given the extreme circumstances it’s all the more important to get this right, the two to three days post the tickets going on sale are critical.

What’s worse is, this isn’t a new thing, there has always been issues with it.

If anyone is experiencing issues please email matthew@dafc.co.uk and he will resolve the issues.

The system provider is working to resolve the password reset and registration issues but in the meantime any issues can be resolved by emailing Matt.

Correct.

I was critical when I was writing it off as some sort of home-grown effort. The fact that it appears to be a paid for solution from a professional company makes it 10x as bad.

Widtink - no offense intended; I realise you are just the messenger, but saying be patient is just daft. We've been patient for years. This is actually harming the club at a time when they really need the cash.

Like others, I’ve had issues with the online ticket system for years. So much so that I’ve always ended up going to the club shop to buy my season tickets. However, I took Brian’s advice and ended up dropping Matt a quick email.

Matt was excellent, he set up new account details for me within 24 hours and for the first time ever I was able to order my tickets online!!!

Went to 65+ last season.

You sure abt that ?
I'm 63 and got mine as a 60+ last season , and my uncle who is now 77 got his with a further age 75 or over discount .
I don"t mind paying the extra but it's a fair old hike in price for my uncle . For probably fewer games .

Correct Parsweep, a concession season ticket was 60+ last season however it was 65+ when purchasing a single match ticket.

I immediately received an acknowledgement and then a new password today from Matt after emailing him and then I was able to order my season tickets no problem at all. The "quick renew" option works very well.

If the man turned 12 in June does he not qualify? Is under 12's including 12 year olds or is it only 11 and under?

ZZ

It’s doesn’t turn 12 until after 1 June that you can buy a U12 ticket, otherwise you have the situation were a kid could be 13 and 9 months still on a U12 ticket.

My son has turned 12 during last season, so I need to visit the shop as the website isn’t giving my the family ticket etc.

Row ZZ -- I think Malcolm Canmore has answered you above. If your son is still 11 on 1 June 2020, then he is entitled to the Under 12 rate.

All age concessions relate to the age on 1 June as I understand it.

So if he becomes 12 after 1 June, then that is good news for your family.

Still can't get logged on. Received a temporary password yesterday but that didn't work. Really appreciate Matt's efforts dealing with the websites provider but getting pretty frustrated now.

You'll probably even need a team to play those games you mention

Perfectly chilled. Just conscious that the club needs as much cash as possible as soon as possible

I tried last night. An adult and two U12s plus three plaques.

I'll be posting a cheque.
