Huge potential and apparently wanted by St Mirren and Livingston.

Presume him and McManus to replace Nisbet, good options if true!

If we are offering a new player a 3 year deal, some of our stalwarts should get extensions.

Will this be announced at the same time as Declan McManus?

He could be as popular a signing as Myles Hippolyte. 😊😊😊

started following the club on twitter last night, always a sign....how much will the compensation be this time?

McManus, O'Hara, Dowds, Nesbitt....lots of rumours...cant see both McManus and O'Hara signing whilst Nisbet is still here.

Perhaps if he does sign, he could on his COWS interview say that he was at that time a silly young boy and that now he is older he feels bad about it and gives an apology to our former player, our club and our fans.

In the “ Heat of Battle “ many things are said .

Neil Lennon “ mocked “ Greg Ross at Parkhead many years ago about the pittance he was earning with the Pars.

Don’t think many folk would have complained if had become Pars manager.....unlikely I know.

O’Hara said/done something shameful. He apologised. I believe Shiels accepted the apology. That will do for me.

How many folk on here as a very young man said or done something that made you cringe with embarrassment in later years. Most of us I would think.

How many fans at games have sang or shouted something at an opposition player that was “ shameful”? Most of us I would think.

Leave the guy alone. He is a Par now.

Why don't we david goodwillie while we are at it since a lot of you are in a forgiving mood.

What a pointless post.

I have a disability. If hadn't shown remorse I might feel worse, but he apologised and did a few things to help with disabled folk, but I can't give details. If he signs he's a Par and that's very important.

The past is the past! He's a Dunfermline player now so we should all be behind him! COYP

I remember hundreds of Pars fans cheering at someone who had a disability....well a broken leg.

Andy Smiths debut in a pre season friendly against Bolton.

Shameful.

Never been so embarrassed in my life at a footy match as that day.

I think your memory may be playing tricks on you, as I recall Andy Smith was carried off on that stretcher to tremendous applause from the ground.

“ Why don't we david goodwillie while we are at it since a lot of you are in a forgiving mood.”

Shameful post which sums up the maturity level of some of our so called ‘fans’.

Was Greig Shields that Lennon mocked about wages.

He hasn't signed yet, so I wouldn't say he's a Par yet.

Don't see how posting about Goodwillie is a shameful post, forgive and forget. The lad wasn't even convicted in a criminal court.

I'm just questioning this whole possibility of giving O'Hara a 3 year deal..2 years with the option of a 3rd surely?? I mean, tell me the last time we gave a player a 3 year deal? @

100% correct.
He was booed as his name was read out before the game but very quickly won the fans over with a great performance.

With Kilmarnock signing the Wimbledon winger, I hope Dunfermline can bring Dom Thomas back.

The thought of he and Ryan Dow providing ammunition has one salivating.

Was he our fastest winger since Mark Smith?

I expect to get some flack about revealing this, but here goes.
The lad should be given a break. But football fans are fickle. Just think about this.
When Shiels was being introduced to our squad at the time, the comment of Eye,eye was said by one of the cheeky chappy’s in our squad. Nothing was ever said or raised to the level of the Incident many poster mentioned here. It happened and was intended by the senior player to be a joke.
All I am saying is football fans are fickle but it was also happening within our own house.
Let bygones be bygones and let’s move on.
He apologised and that is good enough for me. Let’s not hound a guy out even before he has started.

Given what happened in that Falkirk game you have to give the boy his due for coming to the Pars. I know money talks and all that but he came out of that incident with a lot more credit than the other boy, McGhee was it?
He was punished for it and he has more than served it so let's just get behind the boy.

Yeh, that would be good. Dow, Thomas, McManus and O'Hara would be a pretty decent strike force for this level .

Should maybe keep the heads a bit with the outcry from some quarters on here considering in the last few years we have been lambasted publicly for homophobic chanting from a fair few in a certain section of the crowd. Or is that not as bad because it wasn't about one of our own players? Glass houses. Do you think these young clowns would be happy if they went for a new job years down the line and someone outted them for being against gay folk? Obviously not and if I remember rightly some on this site even defended these individuals saying 'they are young and stupid and it's all said in the heat of the moment at football' so why wouldn't O'Hara be offered the same defence?

People make mistakes and learn from them. Fair play to the boy for having the bottle to come here and face these head on when he didn't have to, which is more than some people would do.

I have no problem with giving the lad a chance but I think the matter should be raised at an early opportunity to clear the air rather than swept under the carpet. I always felt Hippolyte was at a disadvantage from the start when he joined us as his penalty dive against us when with Falkirk was never raised.
