Walsh would be a good addition. Always impressed when we played Dumbarton and ICT.

Would be a great signing. But, going by Crawford's comments, it sounds as if we will just be looking for a Goalkeeper then looking at loan signings should we need further depth.

I Know There's Gonna Be (Good Times)

Walsh would be a very good signing. Maybe he wasn't on Crawford's agenda pre last interview, possibly the chance has arisen to make a deal. Make it happen!

He turned down a 2 year deal at Inverness, it would be a bit strange to sign for us when we have finished well below them. I'd guess maybe hoping to get a gig in the premiership or down south. I can see with the 6 domestic loans now coming into effect for Crawford to utilise that market to fill in the gaps for competition.

the priority has to be a keeper but if this is true and doesnt impact the ability to sign that keeper in terms of the budget then Walsh would be a good option to have.

i know Crawford has talked about loans but outside Celtic and Rangers, have the other top flight clubs got the squads to send players out on loan and also what percentage would they be looking for in wages? by the time the season starts it could end up being there are better players available on free transfers and on cheaper wages than potential loanees.

Loans can work out well though. Dom Thomas is a case in point.

Agree we need a goalie.

I’m sure I read somewhere that part of the reason he turned down the contract at Inverness was that he was looking to move more centrally to be closer to home.

Think he had a few injuries last year as well

Would take him be good option. Think he can play central and wider so offers options

"Loans can work out well though. Dom Thomas is a case in point."

Kiltie and Keena examples show how they leave you vulnerable

For every Dom Thomas there's a Jamie Mole out there too. Loans are tricky.

Kiltie going back to Kilmarnock was a plus as we got Thomas as a replacement. Dom will prove he is the better player.

Would still have Kiltie back if possible

According to Wiki he only made two league appearances last season. If that is correct he maybe wants regular starts.

Also rings a bell Walsh was on trial with us when AJ was in charge, the time Shankland also was trialing, we said no to both.

Shankland went on to sign for Ayr, banged in the goals that season and Walsh ended up at Dumbarton am sure and then secured a deal to Inverness.

Also its all fine n well saying, why would he leave a club that were better than us last season? Half of the vital organs of that squad have also moved on, and also, it's fine and well playing for Inverness, but maybe the lad wants to move back down country towards the central belt and closer to home. Mind The Moff relocated through here when he joined us, his Mrs got a tad home sick and they moved back west. Can't imagine it would be the easiest relocating to Inverness.

Think he had injury problems last year which limited his availability

^^ he did, started 10 or 11 league games according to other sites.

the trial, he refused the offer to come and took the contract with Dumbarton that was offered at the same time.

Tom Walsh signs for Ayr on a 1 year deal, good signing for them if he stays fit

Troon lad, knew he'd probably be wanting a club closer to home, fair enough.
