 Bookies don't rate the Pars

Scottish bookmaker McBookie expects Hearts to dominate the Championship installing them at odds of 1/8 on.

A spokesman for the bookie said there was "every chance" that Hearts would complete the 27 games unbeaten.

The Pars are 4th favourites at 25/1.

Championship winners betting: 1/8, Hearts; 10/1, Dundee; 16/1, ICT; 25/1, Dunfermline; 33/1, Ayr Utd; 66/1, Morton; 100/1, Arbroath; 150/1, Raith Rovers and Queen of the South; 200/1, Alloa.

Don’t understand why they think Dundee and ICT should be so highly rated.... genuinely believe we’re in a good shape for 2nd.

I don't think Hearts will go undefeated. Last time they came down they were a mid table Premier League team that got relegated because of their points deduction. Because of their financial problems had already been playing their kids in the top flight who'd done very well so they were well set to go back up.

They're obviously still faves to go up but its a very different proposition this time. They were one of the worst sides in the league and they need a rebuild.

As a result 25/1 actually represents a bit of value compared to previous years from an EW perspective as I'd always thought the 12/1 prices were a bit on the skinny side for us.

Each way would be a decent bet.

You wont get an each way bet, you will probably get a market without Hearts though.

Hearts wont find it easy, the vast majority of teams will play them with very little ambition to try and win the game. 27 games means there's less room for error too, the shorter the season the more likely there is of a surprise winner.

Some sites give you each way on the top two positions. It’s 1/3 of the winnings. Betfred has us at 12/1

I hadn't realised the McBookie price was win only - I was expecting EW for two teams as well. Probably explains the 25/1.

Partick Thistle thought they would bounce right back up again. Doesn't always happen. Hearts might feel the pinch. Best for us to operate under the radar and who knows what we can do.

I’m waiting for a betting without Hearts market.

1/8 is dire odds for Hearts. Yes they should be favourites but they were relegated last season because they were rank rotten. Utter mince.

Hearts only 5 to 1 to go whole league season unbeaten. Anyone who takes that price is a mug.
