Scotland v Israel and Czech Republic - what's the prize?
Topic Originator: DBP

Hi,

I know it's just me being a bit thick, but can someone spell out what these two games mean please?

If we win then both, does that mean we've sneaked into the next world cup?
(and do we need to win both games?)

Hiya,

There's a good article on the BBC explaining it all. Not that I can find it right now, mind you!

The Israel and Czech games are part of Nations League. We win that group and we have a chance of squeaking to the world cup via playoffs.

Further complicated by also playing Israel next month in the Euros playoff. Win that and then win against Norway or Serbia away and we're in next year's Euros.
