Think he may have been captain of the celtic U20s? Also capped at U19 level a fair few times. Central midfielder but believe he has also featured for celtic at Left back as well and has played quite well. Certainly being linked with a few players in the loan market, all of decent quality imo

Kinda feels like if were going to be trying to bring in young players on longer contracts with view to improving, giving them a shop window then selling them on then our loan signings really should be more experienced consistent performers (kiltie and thomas) than more inexperienced young boys who look very raw in the first team and struggle (afolabi and Ethan Ross)

Thats just my tuppence.

Just sitting here drenched in my own negativity!

there are very few of those guys around though before even thinking about the financial side of things.

back to McInroy he played at left back in a preseason game against Ross County but it was a one off, being left sided though would give a different option in midfield and balance with it. did his cruciate in the first half of 2019 but was making his comeback at the start of 2020 before the shutdown.

some of these would be handy if he signs....

For once I agree with you, Berkey! I don't see the point of a 'development' club developing another club's players.

Just watched the YT video of the lad. Goodness me, that's a sweet left foot. Having someone with that ability to score from outside the box would be very useful.

The lad played at Blue Brazil when he was younger, my age level, always hated coming up against them and him especially even at a younger age, boy could run the game himself. Bullet off a left foot.

Was not surprised in the slightest when Celtic took him into their academy.

Remember we're also trying to build a squad to try and win the league

Same with me parrot totally agree, think it's good to be positive about who we are interested in and to be fair a captain of something like the calibre of a Celtic youth team possibly with an opportunity to sign him, if we get promoted and he helps us do that he would absolutely be a fantastic addition to our squad and is what the pars are clearly focused on ie the young talent probably both now at home and abroad and clearly if the boy helps us to get up in a good ways and not just bench warm then he will be worth a potential deal for decent money in the Spl , let's face it he probably won't get in the Celtic team unless he turns into a super hero for the pars and turns Lennon's head maybe to replace Scott brown next season or something, although I even doubt this to as Celtic will still go for a more expensive option for experience.

Just seen that video. What a finisher for a midfielder/left back. Hed be a great addition. What does this mean for Fraser Murray tho?

Don't think it makes any difference, McInroy would be filling a role in central midfield I'd think, whereas Murray would probably be used out wide or in a creative attacking position. Also with us now being allowed 6 domestic loan players it's not a bad route to help us have a bit more strength in depth in the sqaud whilst also getting our younger fringe players out on loan for experience.

If we ended up with McInroy n Murray I'd be well pleased. Means we could send Matt Todd n Paul Allan out on loan, would gain valuable experience from it.

When you say latest rumour what exactly do you mean?
Is there any credible substance to this?

that depends if you class the Daily Record as credible....

Todd should go out on loan no matter who comes in, different for Allan who i would keep around but if they decide to loan him out again he would need replaced.

Steven McInroy and Bruce Deas were the two hotshot footballers when I was growing up in Kinross in the 80's. Assuming they are fathers of Kerr and Robbie respectively.

Ex season ticket holder at Dunfermline growing up and a big fan of the club. Great character and he has got ability as well. A few player of the tournaments for celtic at youth level (one in a big tournament in Dubai).

Jack Aitchison at Celtic in the same team as Kerr and Dea's now at ICT was a great talent as well.
