Hopefully he keeps it up and pushes for an international call up. Anyone know if we’ve a clause in his contract if he gets a game for Scotland?

Selling him to Hibs with a decent sell on fee included might be the best bit of business we ever do. I would imagine when he moves on, they won't let him go cheap. Hibs are great at agreeing excellent transfer fees for their players

Exactly that. His workrate, coupled with that eye for goal is what sets him apart from the other strikers at our level. Seems to have his head screwed on too. Hope it works out, for him, us and Hibs. Early signs are promising as he makes the step up.

It looks like Scott McKenna is heading for the English Championship in a deal reckoned to be worth £6m. If that's the going rate for a centre back what price will a proven striker command?

Watching the Hibs game, how did Celtic not scout Kevin Nisbet? The boy is a player.

A competent CEO would be doing a deal the now to get him in and loan him back to Hibs for 12 months.

Watched the game on Hibs TV earlier and Nisbet was class. His free kick was a great strike and his header was quality of the underside of the bar. His general play as well was really good, links well with Doidge and is constantly coming deep to feed the likes of Boyle and Murphy.
He should get in the region of 15/20 goals this season for Hibs.

What motivation would Hibs or any club have for offering another club (especially one in the same league) “first dibs” on a footballing asset? What economic sense does that even make?

And how would it even be expected to play out - “cheers for the derisory offer (because it’s the Old Firm you’re talking about) since we said you can have first dibs (for no recompense at all) you can have our player on the cheap”. Or “we have just got a crazy offer from down South but they will have to wait until you decide if you boys still want him”

Has to knocking on the international door, Shankland holds into his place but will have to keep finding the net for Utd or Nisbet will be in

All adds to the sell on fee and consequently our share of it

Only a matter of time before shankland loses his place to nisbett. Although I’d prefer to see mcburnie dropped. His character is questionable to say the least. Some of Steve Clarke’s decisions are starting to be a bit puzzling but I’m still very much behind him. For now.

Some of those goals were great. A great striker is like a great goalie. He might not see much of the ball but when called upon he.ll score a goal or the keeper will make an amazing save.

I really hope we.ve looked out for ourselves with lots of add on fees and a major slice of the sell-on pie. Players that can potentially make us money come along rarely at our club.

I think we’ll have a pretty good sell on clause. 25. at least.

IF, and it’s a big IF, he continues his fine form, then someone from England with more money than sense, maybe even Sevco or Ceptic, might offer something substantial that Hibs cannot turn down. If he bangs them in, keeps making defenders look like clowns and maybe gets called for Scotland, Hibs should be able to command an exceptional fee, which should be very good news for us.

I think we need to keep our feet on the ground and not get too excited but I reckon he's definitely going to get 30 goals this year, earn us £2.5m from a ten million transfer to a premiership outfit which will spearhead our Europa League qualifying push in 21/22 where we'll go on to beat Sevilla in the final with our six German under 21 internationalists scoring a brace each.
