I always enjoy his interviews. He seems to strike the right balance of confidence, realism and humility. I imagine he would be a great manager to play for. Everton will be an interesting side to follow this season I think.

Top class in every respect. Everton played a blinder getting him in.

Everton looked very good yesterday, that midfield 3 of Allan, Doucoure and Andre Gomes looks so well balanced and then with James and richarlison providing the creativity they look a proper threat.

On the other hand, spurs were utterly woeful yesterday, nevertheless it looks exciting for the toffees.

Totally agree about Carlo Ancelotti and his brilliant strategy and signings to turn about mediocre Everton's fortunes. Spurs were a shadow of the team from 2018/2019 and getting worse by the looks of it.

Class act, watched Match yesterday and they never looked like losing, dont think they will challenge for title but a European place a possibility

Spurs haven't really invested well by the looks of things as opposed to Everton. Getting Doucoure, Allan and Rodriguez for approximately £60 million initially seems like a steal considering how much transfers are now. Having said that they're all a bit older with not much resale value, however if they finish high and can sneak into Europe they can make up for that cost.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Everton have a high finish this season whereas spurs could be in trouble if mourinho throws the toys out the pram

With silly money flying around the sport , those 3 were a steal. Rodriguez could be worth th 60m himself

Everton need a quality centre half and striker and they will be a very handy team.

Rodriguez cost 12mil, which is a bargain in this day and age.

I know there was always going to be a depreciation in his value after a couple of unsuccessful years in Madrid but his two immediate previous transfer fees had been £60m and £40m so if he's anywhere near the form that commanded those kind of sums it definitely looks a bargain.

A couple of signings off being the usual imo but they looked sharp as a huntsman's knife first game.

I met Ancelotti and his grandchildren heading to London from Munich. Quiet unassuming guy. Ended up playing hide and seek with him and his grandchildren before getting on the plane. Nice person.
