Yip. A very interesting read. Think the timing of the German investment couldn't have been better for us.

That is an excellent, heartfelt and coherent statement, laying out exactly where our club - and many others in Scotland - currently are. Ross is a brilliant Chairman, arguably the best we've ever had and certainly the best we've ever had at keeping the fans fully informed. He works countless, unpaid hours, in an effort to attract sponsors and bring in additional revenue streams, without losing sight of the central aim of making the Pars the focal point of the W. Fife community. We've come a long way since those dark days of 2013, but we're not out of the woods yet.

Someone should copy and paste Ross' statement and send it to the First Minister.

If you saw Nicola.s media briefing today - I doubt the Scottish government will be over sympathetic to the plea for financial support for football clubs.

The chairman.s statement was actually referenced in a question about football finances put to the First Minister by Kingdom FM at today.s coronavirus briefing. She said the SG.s funds were finite and they had no more financial resources available to help football but discussions were ongoing with Westminster to try and access more funding.

The UK Government looks after its own.

They found £16m for English Rugby League in May.

They have found £3m for the National League.

it is time for the Westminster Government to act.

Meanwhile, the SNP are poised to have spectacular success in the Scottish Election in May.

Joe Fitzpatrick, the Scottish Sports Minister, is well aware that would be less true against a backdrop of clubs going out of business

Meanwhile, James Anderson and his Partner have given more welcome philanthropic help.

Football in stadiums has gone, it's done....maybe they'll go down the "get the vaccine to get in" route but I'd be willing to bet that crowds are done for.
Whilst the country inexplicably covers in fear of the 99.86 survival rate and hangs off the Tories every word, culture and enjoyment are gone, done.
It grouse shooting or nothing.

But they do control access to borrowing which prevents our government from being able to enhance furlough and other financial support.

It's already been long established that people are being listed as covid deaths when they were anything but, it's our own government's policy that any death within 28 days of a covid diagnosis is listed as covid, we're talking real covid deaths, not "associated".
Today more people will die of cancer due to "paused" treatments and suicide.
But your tele doesn't harp on about that eh.
Good luck getting back into stadia....anyone want that bet?

Even if it was accepted that the whole coronavirus epidemic was a hoax colluded in by governments all over the world, what would be the political advantage of alienating the followers of the world.s most popular spectator sport by not allowing them into stadiums?

The Scottish government released stats that 93% of deaths after positive case are directly attributable to Covid.

If we assume figures will be similar worldwide then that still gives survival rate of 94.02294448% for UK and 97.37947537% worldwide. Still far less than your fictional figure of 99.86%.
Your other Conspiracy rubbish you come out with is generally harmless but now your bs can actually lead to people dying.
Cut it out FFS.

Yup, plus, as far as I know, cancer which is one of those things that gets thrown out in regards to corona deaths, isn't transmitable so it's a rubbish thing to compare with

There.s also the point that those who .survive. (i.e. do not die) can still suffer serious consequences many of which are still unknown.

Those who think this is a hoax or conspiracy scenario should go ask Covid survivors who have suffered weeks in IT and are still experiencing significant after effects.

Is that not the same with any virus like the flu, some people end up with symptoms for months.

Before anybody gets the wrong end of the stick I am not comparing this pandemic to the flu just that some viruses leave longer term effects for a % of people that get it.

That.s not the central issue - is Covid a real affliction, or a hoax, the product of a political conspiracy ?

"Whilst the country inexplicably covers in fear of the 99.86 survival rate and hangs off the Tories every word, culture and enjoyment are gone, done.

Apart from anything else - plenty of outdoor pursuits available to all, which satisfy social distancing rules, nothing to do with being a Tory, privileged or not.

Cycling and walking have enjoyed a rennaisance in recent months - and plenty of "ordinary" punters on their local golf courses, for example, as we speak.

He has not said it's a hoax but he is definitely playing it down.
Using made up statistics to play it down is either down to believing something he saw on a Conspiracy site or video without fact checking. Or he is being deliberately dishonest.
