 Championship results

No real damage done to us with Morton drawing at Alloa and Ayr losing at QOS. What are we hoping for tonight between Dundee and Hearts? A draw might be best. I think it`s live on the BBC Scotland Channel (7.20 pm ko).

I lean more towards Hearts winning and us consolidate in second, feels tough to imagine us finishing above Hearts.

I agree with you Eck , no real damage done without us kicking a ball today
As for tonight probably a Hearts win for me ( Based on I really think they will win the league ) So It would keep Dundee 3 points behind us with a game more played than us too

A Hearts win would suit as best. It’s hugely optimistic to think we can finish above them over the course of a season with their resources

Our best chance of winning is our closest competitors being held to draws so that will do me.

Hearts are going to skoosh the league and no team can be nearly as consistent as them, so a pumping dished out to Dundee to allow us to build a gap between 2nd and the rest is ideal. Hearts win tonight, we have a game over Dundee and could theoretically go 6 clear of them if we win our game in hand (assuming results kinda go the way they have done between now and then) That is MASSIVE for us and for the confidence. Dundee aren’t that good either. One player makes that team tick. We’ve got a solid game away to Hearts but the other two are definitely winnable that follow it. We could build a gap between ourselves and the rest if we keep doing what we have done and grind out results. Again, there is no way we are going to beat Hearts to the title, so anything that helps us extend our place in 2nd is ideal.

a Hearts win with a couple of straight reds for both teams and injuries would be a welcome bonus.

He's playing.
Probably a draw best for us.
We still have a chance of catching Hearts with a game against them coming up soon so I'm not wanting them to win.
We have to aim high instead of as the also ran team unless it seems unlikely.

Yes hopefully some of the other teams stop thinking Hearts are invincible.

The commentator can`t stop mentioning Dunfermline.

Nothing would please me more to see those self entitled choppers implode but I just think over a season they are going to win the league pretty comfortably. Everyone else will take points off each other so I can't see there being a credible challenger.

Not been watching but maybe someone can tell me is it same case of whittaker influence in midfield that Adams is commanding for Dundee? Naismith being snuffed out

Adam can pick a few world cup passes and has a decent delivery fron set pieces. Does not offer much going the other way.

Whittaker would be the opposite dare i say.

Aye i agree with that, what I am wondering is if hearts are less effective when Naismith is snuffed out. Whittaker had him in his back pocket the whole game against us. Just in from work and not watching it.

Charlie involved in just about anything dangerous for Dundee, like our game.
Must be worrying for them, if he get's injured.
Dundee, like us standing up to Hearts and so far, worthy leaders in the match.

Afolabi scores a well taken penalty. I can't see Hearts doing a Dunfermline. I think that we have a 5 go advantage over Dundee.

I thought tonight Hearts looked very ordinary ,
They certainly don`t like it when a team takes the game to them
On the night the best team won , we just need a few more teams to give them a game and who knows ,
Take Charlie Adams out of the Dundee Team and they will probably struggle as he is their main outlet for most things

I suspect the injury that resulted in Charlie Adam being doubtful for the game and eventually subbed was the same injury that caused him to be subbed against us. It`ll never get a chance to clear up if they don`t rest him occasionally.

Nielson is a bawbag of a man, not a good word to say about Dundee, then had the audacity to say " we have lost 2 games this season and Don Robertson was the referee in both matches"

The next league game is at Tyncastle. We could narrow the lead to only 2 points.
Stevie had to get this into the players heads, the league isn't over.
I know most of you have already given up on the title but I haven't.

Pretty sure alot of teams will now sit up and take notice of the 2 live matches involving hearts. 2 defeats... Put in a strong midfield and confidence in going forward and taking game to them.

That will make life hard for them and frustrate them as they are riding on this cloud of we will walk this league.... Time will tell...so far they have had it relatively easy
