Hello folks, firstly apologies for polluting the Football forum with this, but most folks won`t see it if I buried it in the Admin forum. An update to the iPhone app is now available on the app store, and it is called "DAFC.net Forum 2" - note the 2 at the end to differentiate it from the current version. Note that this new version is under my Apple developer account (as opposed to Brian`s), and in due course Brian will remove the original version from the App store.
This update has the following changes:
> It now takes up the full-screen on newer phones
> "New Post" and "New Post With Quote" always now start with a fresh post.
> If you start to type a post then exit it without submitting, you can access the content using a newly available "Edit Draft Post" menu option (which only appears if you have some text that you haven`t submitted yet).
> Fix to the glitches with changing font size - it is now immediately reflected on-screen when changed (previously you had to come out/in to see the changes).
Can I ask that you install the new version ("DAFC.net Forum 2"), check that it is all working fine, and then you can uninstall the previous version ("DAFC.net Forum"). Let me know here if you have any problems with the new version.

Cheers guys, sounds like Raymie the only one having issues so far.
Note that I`m not particularly happy about the humungous download size - something that I will try to reduce in future updates.

It happened once but corrected itself after three goes.
I thought I would highlight it as it was a known problem earlier.

Parsmad68 - remember that you can also fine-tune the size of the text independently across the 3 screens! Just use the menu accessed from the icon at the far right of the bar along the top. Just keep repeating the Increase/Decrease until you reach a text size that works best for you.

Working fine for me, although moving between screens is not the smoothest transition, kind of a bit stuttery but itโs not a problem tbh
iPhone 8+ running iOS 14.2

Ta for the understanding, TigerPar. It was written using the "Xamarin" framework, purely because it meant I could write it much quicker. The downside is that it won`t run as nice, and the download is WAY bigger. Ideally, it would have been written in a more "native" iOS framework (like UI Kit or SwitfUI), as that would run smoothly, like the Android version runs smoothly.
This is probably a good time to ask if there are any budding devs out there want a pet project to build a "proper" native DAFC.net Forum app for the iPhone :-)

I sense if I can read and understand this message I will be ready for your next round of quiz questions.

Haha :) The upshot is I would prefer to re-write the iPhone version "properly" so it works faster and smoother than it does currently.
