We will do, we have a sell on clause. Although Sunderland are a big club they're not going through the best of spells at the moment so unless they are offering silly money and our cut is huge I'd be hopeful for his own sake that he could land a gig with a Championship club as I do think he's better than League 1.

Every time I see his name I add baby to the end, still in love with him.
Think he’s better than Sunderland but if they cough up decent cash I don’t give a ****. That’s the most important part, secondly if he goes somewhere, scores goals, plays regularly and cements himself into the Scotland squad it will be delightful and entirely deserved as a result of his talent and attitude.
Edit- and I’ll always remember the lunacy of football fans based on the rant of a fan at him after he missed a shot from the edge of the box at Alloa. ‘Not good enough nisbet’ was the original rant, Followed by ‘that’s the difference nisbet, finish your chances’ when Alloa scored the winner. Incredible.

Highly doubt Hibs will be any position to let him go unless its silly money offered. He`s 6 months into a 4 year contract, again I`d even be surprised if they even entertain bids in summer.

They signed him on a 4 year deal when they had no money.
They did that for a reason.
He is an asset for them long term.
Selling him now outside of a no brainer offer would be madness if he progresses the way he has been.

A Hibby pal of mine said that he looked a great buy up until the time he started getting mentioned as a potential for the Scotland squad but since then has been bang ordinary. Maybe have to wait until he hits a run of form again to have any chance of silly money.

There`s a feature on the BBC Sport website speculating about outsiders to make the Scotland squad for the Euros. Nisbet`s mentioned along with Ross McCrorie, Grant Hanley (!), Billy Gilmour, David Turnbull, Aaron Hickey and Lewis Ferguson.
As the only striker he must be in with a chance if he can hit a decent run of form between now and the summer.

I don't think that's possible mate, Birmingham would have to explain where 2 million has dissapered, whole Hibs would need to explain where this 2 million has came from in the accounts.

Radio this morning reporting that the Blues are offering £2million for Sam Cosgrove from Aberdeen.
I’m originally from Birmingham and they are my English club but they’re a basket case of a club at the moment with huge financial problems - and they play a very negative style of football.
From a Birmingham perspective Nisbet would be a great buy but I think from Kevin’s perspective a move there would be a mistake.

How does our percentage work out if there is an agreement based on add ons - such as £2m up front to hibs and appearance add ons and performance target add ons say for example £500,000 potential add ons.
Just wondering how specific the wording would be in sell on clauses.

That can't be true otherwise clubs would sell for a low fee and have a clause saying millions after 1 appearance meaning they keep most of the cash.
I'm sure the same percentage of any add ons also comes to club.
Edit: Just looked into it. Sell on clauses can include just the fee or include add on clauses as well. All depends what has been negotiated.

The higher the better, pretty confident Nisbet could and should be playing at a higher level. Just hope our sell on clause is the rumoured 30% at £3m he would net us overall a total £1.1m (£200,000 initial sale and £900,000 if percentage is correct)

Be amazed if it's as high as 30%. Great business by us if it is though. I was thinking nearer half that and possibly extra incentives if he won a full international cap.

Nisbet isn’t even an international yet. He needs to stay at Hibs a bit longer, find his form again and hopefully get into that Euro squad. Then see what happens in the summer after the tournament. Birmingham have been a bit of a shambles since their premier league days. Nisbet can do better than that. Potentially!

Totally agree with you. There are few downsides from the players perspective.
Just didn't think that Hibs would be in a position where they'd have to take 3m now when he could go for more in a few months as well as helping them on the park in that time.

No because Brum wouldn't be party to the fist deal therefore couldn't agree to sell on fee's when we're not part of discussion. There would need to be a direct and clear agreement in place.
