 MORTON PPV
Topic Originator: Sliema Par

The Dunfermline Athletic site advises how to book the Cup PPV for Saturday .

I timed myself.I had paid and registered within 3 minutes.

It took a similar number of minutes to access Raith Rovers and Alloa Ath and Ayr Utd.

I gave up after 3 HOURS with Arbroath and over 1 HOUR with both Dundee and Inverness CT.

Can some young computer Pars geek explain?

Friends with an Apple IPad had the very same experience.

Apple say my Software is up to date and SKY confirmed Broadband speed and connection.

With the Scottish Championship needing PPV cash this is unsatisfactory.

Thankfully Brian ensures an excellent experience with Pars TV.

Very easy set up and payment process, although I will hold my tongue on the overall experience until I see some pictures on Saturday.

Livingston have moved their game from Saturday to Sunday because of low temperatures on Friday night. I’m surprised a lot of other clubs aren’t doing the same tbh.

Just read that, they will be hoping it’s not on with most 3 more first team players needing to isolate.

Means our game with Hearts will then be moved as well. No complaining about that

obiwanyouknowme what you are saying I actually heard this from a friend who is a Morton fan and his son works with the club
They have a few players needing to Isolate plus they have had snow and low temperatures so my friend does not expect the game to be on
in fact he said the ground is a lot worse than when the game against Inverness was called off
So looks likely that the game will be OFF which suits Morton

Exactly, if you have players out and there’s a slight chance then I fully expect them to take advantage and call it off.

I think where we benefit is that we don’t want to risk our players, we would avoid playing hearts midweek and gives us the same rest time for our Friday night game against Morton also.

I think there will be a few call offs this week

In England teams who can`t fulfil their FA Cup tie`s because of COVID they forfeit the match, unsure if it is the same here.

Morton have said it is highly unlikely that the game will go ahead

If the game is called off due to a frozen pitch then they are calling the game off due to COVID.

So game wouldn’t be forfeited it would be rescheduled and that would be Tuesday 12th, that would mean the game we have against hearts would be cancelled

I see Queen`s Park v QOS is the featured match on BBC Scotland Channel tomorrow night. That`s the second round in a row where QP have been televised. Do the TV fees go to the clubs involved or into a communal kitty? We all know the media favour Glasgow clubs but this is ridiculous!

Answer is it goes in a kitty so actually QP lose money due to fans not using PPV.

GMC statement:

Possible reschedule 12/1 (and we’re due to play them (away) again in the league on 15/1).

What a surprise that three of their players who are COVID positive return on the 11th. Really hope the game goes ahead.

Is this not how the BBC usually do it? They pick a 1st Round tie then follow the progress of the winner all the way to the final. So if Dundonald had won against QP they would have been on TV again in this round.

According to the Morton statement a pitch inspection is to take place on Friday morning. Anyone know why?

Seems a bit odd especially looking at the forecast, which suggests a milder night with the temperature not likely to drop below zero before 3pm on Saturday.

Mon the pars!

Could any payments be `rolled over` to Saturday`s League game?

I contacted Morton this afternoon asking about refund and this is the reply

"Thanks for your query. We will not be making automatic refunds and tickets will be valid for the new date which for the moment we expect to be in February. We will though make refunds to anyone who requests same".
