I have had information from a credible source that tomorrow’s game may be in doubt tomorrow, due to some Morton players having COVID. He has asked I don’t share any names. I’d keep your eyes on social media over the next day and tomorrow lads unfortunately.

I thought there was a requirement that if you could field a team , albeit reserves and youngsters ,then you had to?

Morton have had a covid outbreak for a few weeks now. It was ongoing before the cup game.

Morton already announced they had an outbreak before the cup game. The players that contracted the virus were due to be back by the 12th in time for the cup game.
Unless this is a second outbreak but if they were planning on the game being postponed you would think they would have asked for this already just like Raith have done today

I thought there was an obligation to field a team in the cup using reserves if necessary or is that just England ?

The game is much more likely to be in doubt due to the 3 inches of snow that Greenock has had in the last 24 hours.

Remember that even if it's one person, any players they've interacted with have to isolate. If any of them then develop symptoms they have to isolate for 10 days from that point.

Looks like the weather will make the Covid scenario irrelevant.

5° Fri according to the beeb. Of course the pitch could end up flooded.

Pitch is almost at sea level and with the salt sea air shouldn`t be much snow there. Pitch might be heavy but if the drainage is reasonable it should be playable.

Still no news on this. Seems like the game is going ahead as planned.

Can only assume the ‘inside info’ that the OP got, was for the cup tie last weekend. Morton stated themselves last Thursday, that had the game not been postponed, they would be unable to field a team last weekend, but enough players would have been available by Tuesday, as the full squad would be cleared from Monday night.
It would take a ridiculous scenario for there then to have been a further outbreak since the squad returned on Tuesday, given this was posted on Thursday.
