For a game that many found turgid, it's also fair to say there were few failures.

Clear MOM for me was Comrie. Mr Consistent getting MOM probablysjms up the overall performance.

Watson and McManus coming up behind.

I would give it to McManus , tireless running and had several attempts on goal, unlucky not to convert. Also mentioned in desptches, Edwards -who didnt put a foot wrong and has come on a ton this season and Watson.

There were a lot of good performances but none outstanding enough to be named MOM in my opinion. Wilson did well at both ends of the pitch but blotted his copybook by getting booked which may be why he was subbed.

McManus for me but have to say Watson and Murray at centre half’s did their job well tonight without being spectacular.

they all put a shift in with no real failures, i dont think there was a standout player although its the best Watson and Murray have played for a while imo.

Surprised how many on here pick McManus. He gives 100% but I am afraid he lacks quality for me.

Agree with this. That lad is a trier, I'll give him that, but he doesn't have much in the way of skill or cutting edge

Weatherby he made an important challenge in the box in the second half.

Totally agree on the points about mcmanus, works his socks off but precious little end product. That was true the first time he was here so not sure if anyone was expecting anything different? Didn’t help playing upfront with McCann who has the stature but not a lot else.

Was a terrible game to watch, down to the pitch I guess but defensively I’m liking the back 4 very solid. Really don’t want to loose Murray back there.

Not sure what has happened to Dom? Started the season on fire, now struggling to beat a man with set pieces and offering nothing from open play at all. Dow struggling for form too.

Just sitting here drenched in my own negativity!

McManus isnt my favourite player but I'm not sure what people expect him to do when it's lumped up to him 30 yards out. He's having to receive and control the ball with back to goal with defenders up his jacksie.

Owain Fon Williams. Didn`t put a foot wrong. Did everything that was asked of him. Some fantastic saves from pass backs. Clean sheet. Outstanding performance.

A clean sheet is always welcomed by a goalkeeper - looked like he probably kept his players` kit just as pristine last night !!!

Defensively very solid yesterday.

Yes, liked the defence.

Not a great game, but we got a point- Morton is never fun, and our defence looks good and plenty flexibility as well.

Both centre backs did well, and never really looked troubled , but Paul Watson for me , our lack of a striker is going to be our undoing

I’m surprised nobody has mentioned Whittaker(?) .... I think he certainly provided some strength to the centre of our defence; which in the conditions was really important.

In last month’s game with Morton they pretty much brushed us aside, we looked much stronger in this game and I think Whittaker had a lot to do with that.

I kinda agree that with folks that say we didn’t have a really ‘stand out’ performer, but I do think that this was a massive improvement on the last performance we had against Morton.

I also kinda agree with comment made by James McFadden on BBC; we created all of the attempts on goal in the 2nd half, but we lacked someone to provide a quality finish.

However, I think if we can play with that sort of attitude we’ll win more games than we’ll lose. A lot of the half-chances that occurred around the Morton goal just didn’t fall nicely for us; on another day, might’ve had 2 or 3 goals?

Whittaker undoubtedly had a big impact.

He was BBC Man Of The Match.

We had 52% possession and 15 shots .Morton did not have one on target.

Morton never carried the threat they had at East End and Whittaker was a major reason for that.

Whittaker got MOM because he is ex Rangers and Billy Dodds was picking. With no obvious choice it was always going to be the case. I actually said to my kids he would pick Whittaker before he did for that very reason.

Maybe Dodds chose Whittaker because he thought he was the best player on the park. I presume he was actually at Cappielow so had a full view of the park unlike the viewers who only tend to get to see what`s happening around the ball. Whittaker`s one of these guys who does a lot of his work off the ball, plugging gaps, covering runs etc.

Indeed.

I used to, very naively, think Barry Ferguson was over rated and all sideyways and backwards tippy tappy 5-10 yard passes.

Then saw a game at Blackburn in the flesh (with benefit of being up in the heavens of the main stand) and the elevated position let you realise just how much he actually contributed, both attacking and defensively, that goes overlooked or un noticed.

Thought the 2 centre halfs had good games as well
