 Liverpool v Man U

Perhaps surprisingly, it's been a good few years since this fixture was a top-of-the-table clash. It's a great shame that it will be played in an empty stadium. It's an intriguing game all the same and much too close to call. Home advantage will count very little without the fans and it could be that both teams will play a safety first game, rather than risk losing.

No doubt some folk will be convinced that their English team will win and statistically, a draw is the least likely result, but I wouldn't be surprised if the teams have to settle for a point each.

They’re both the highest scorers in the league but they both have problems at the back. When you look at those stats you’d like to think that there will be goals in the game. As you say though both teams will be aware of their strengths and weaknesses and it may lead to a very cagey affair.

Would absolutely settle for a point but I fear I`m going to have to see that bile inducing sight of Herr Klopp fist pumping his way up the touchline again.

Liverpool have been misfiring lately especially in front of goal But I have a feeling they will be too good for Man U ...... 2-0 Liverpool

Man Utd to win a penalty would be my only prediction.

Kept watching because you always had the feeling that there could be a goal at either end. Unlike our goalless draw on Friday which was so bad it could have got football banned.

We managed as many shots on target as MU who managed one more than Liverpool.

Good call GG.

Liverpool lesson their offense by playing Henderson at the back. They are struggling and unless they can turn things around they wont be retaining the title.

Pogba is looking good again now that transfer is getting mentioned.

Man City looking ominous. With the game in hand it looks like they will take top place and once they do they will be difficult to dislodge. Favourites for the title now??

Not much of a game on the whole. Liverpool taking the ball off Man U in their own half for fun but Salah's decision making seemed all over the place. Seemed to always want to play square across in front of the Man U 18 yard line leaving a forest of defenders to get through.
Man U looked more dangerous on the break than us. As usual Rashford the standout. Pogba always wanting to do the spectacular and generally not succeeding. Cavani ineffective when introduced but that might be more to do with service to him.

Couldn't understand why Salah wouldn't try and go by Maguire. Seems to be exactly the kind of opponent that he would happily take on.

Questions need to be asked of Klopp after that especially in regards to his team selection, tactics and subs. Playing Henderson in defence when he is arguably Liverpool's best midfielder, keeping Firmino on for 85mins when he was having an absolute shocker. I doubt anything will get said though as he is untouchable with the pundits and media.

Awight Pat!

I would've had Shaw as MOTM with McGuire and Pogba as two of the better Man Utd players.
Certainly offensively Pogba was the best Man Utd player.

Couldn`t disagree with Shaw. From a Liverpool perspective Thiago was the best player for me especially as it was his home debut and just returning from long term injury. I predict Salah will be off at the end of the season-attitude has been poor this season imo.
