Does that mean some ££ coming our way? As I am sure we had a sell on clause on his contract

There was a clause but he left by mutual consent so be nothing for us.

I dont think it works like that as too many would exploit it. I am sure the clause has a nominal contractual value either way

I was actually thinking about the lad the other night, not had any success down south in the slightest. Was wondering when he`d have a move back north..
Good player, should do well for them again.

Definitely didn’t leave mutual consent. He had a 2 year contract and was here one season. We agreed terms with Bradford Im sure.

If he’s moved to Livingston I can’t see the fee being very much.
Good luck to him, absolutely ran his heart out every game.

I always thought it was a wee bit strange that he gave up the chance to try Premiership football with Livi to sign for us in the Championship.

I thought that as well I'm not too sure how much was his decision or a decision was made by livi.
c'mon the pars

Quite possibly the most overrated player in my time supporting the Pars.

Certainly rite up there! Ran around a bit which pleased large majority of our support.

Don't think that is to far wrong to be honest. I seem to recall he was fairly suspect at the back at times.

He was good going forward but suspect defensively and cost us a few goals I thought. I was surprised when Bradford came along and paid money for him. Best of luck to him though. He seems to have had a pretty grim time down there.

Very harsh comments on here from some - I agree with Wee Eck in that I was surprised we got a sizeable fee (if indeed that’s true) for him but I thought he was a very good player at our level - miles away from being the most overrated player I’ve seen over the years - now, if we were talking about his brother ....

Surprisingly differing opinions about JL on here!
I liked him as a player, felt he was by far the best of a bad bunch, he always gave his all, had a clever footballing brain & scored a fair share of our goals given he was a defender
We almost gave him away so would seriously hope a sell on clause or something similar is in place.......
Edit to say: we got nothing like a “sizeable fee” for him, sold to save a wage ffs

AJ27, my thoughts exactly. The brother...oh dear lord. One of the most frustrating players ever to pull on our jersey.
As for Jackson, think he was unfortunate to join at the same time as Durnan, Devine, and all the other wasters that season. Although on the flip side they made him look good as he was a standout compared to the dross he was played with.
Seemed a nice enough guy, tried his hardest, but definitely not the brightest....
That interview on a BBC Alba game when he talked about wanting to be an orca Trainer.... 🚀

I sat beside a current premier league manger at a game last season and he had been at the pars for a while. I had said how impressed I had been with JL his comments were so insightful.
1. Going forward was good.
2. Defensively not great and needed work
3. Great business for the club getting money for him.
Was the high level
I won't share the low level detail but the analysis he talked me through was quite eye opening. Its amazing how games look through different eyes

Overrated you say? Suspect at the back and good going forward? Sounds like the left sided version of Ryan Williamson too then, who was one of the most overrated players I`ve seen.
