Newcastle were actually excellent tonight in what was an excellent game. Newcastle got hit hard by covid in december which seemed to trigger a loss of form which led to a lack of confidence. Signs tonight that it was coming back.

Second half was a really good watch. Don’t know how Newcastle never took something from the game. ?
Saint Maximam did well when he came on

The fans loved him but as long as Ashley is there I don't think he will go anywhere near it.

I believe the stats showed last week on MNF that Bruce has accrued more points than Benitez?
Benitez is held in such high esteem because he stayed after getting relegated to guide them back up.
However, a very big salary and an expensively assembled squad, for the Championship, made that more palatable

Did you know that when he was head coach at Real, Rafa allegedly advised Luka Modric not to pass the ball with the outside of his foot? 🤣
It's so preposterous, nobody could make that up. I read it in an edition of World Soccer magazine, in an interview given by Modric, after Rafa and Real had parted company.
Not your average Sunday League player.

From Rafa to G.G. :)
“I also did not tell Luka Modric to stop passing with the outside of his foot. All I told him was that when there is a simple pass with the inside of the foot, he had to use the inside of his foot because it is easier for his teammate.

I had the pleasure of watching Miguel almiron play for atlanta for 2 seasons before he moved to the Toon.
He looked on it today very good performance and I really hope he finds his scoring touch again. Top player
