The next four weeks should define our season as far as the league is concerned. February has to be the "great push" if we want promotion either as champions (yes, that`s a fairly tall order) or through the playoffs.
We have Hearts (A), Rovers (H), Arbroath (A), Dundee (H), Alloa (H) and QOS (A).
All are winnable. Equally, you could argue that all are losable. So, let`s get off to a good start today.
Come on you Pars!

I reckon around 12 points would be an acceptable return from those games , but you never know . Get off to a flyer today and it could see us kick on to chase Hearts all the way .

Due to our record at Tynecastle I don't think we will get anything other than a heavy defeat today

It`s a curious fatalistic attitude among football fans that they feel a result of a current match will be determined by what`s happened in the past. There`s really no logic to it although I admit I`ve often subscribed to it myself. It`s just as logical to feel that a poor run has to end some time.

Why is that relevant with players who have never played at tynecastle with the Pars?

Totally irrelevant. The players and managers are all different. Other factors will determine how the game goes, nothing to do with our record there over the last 30 years.

Poor form v Hearts? I definitely remember being at Tynecastle and us winning on penalties.
Since then we have beaten them in a preseason friendly and in this league, only losing to them in the league cup when we were bye far the better team.

I think we will be doing well to take 9 points from our next 5 games. Our current form doesn`t suggest that we are capable of doing this.

It`s absolutely crazy to set a target for a group of games. Lose the first one and you put huge pressure on yourself. How many times does it have to be said - one game at a time? It`s schoolboy stuff really.
