of course I don`t expect some people to report it, but others will as can be seen.

https://www.heartsfc.co.uk/news/article/hearts-tv-update/

not sure why link is not working :o(

from article:
A zero tolerance approach will be taken to any person, Hearts fan or not, who illegally streams Hearts matches, and anyone doing so who is on our database can expect wide range of sanctions; from season ticket/match ticket bans to possible legal action.

If Hearts` streams are being targetted for pirating it serves them right for charging £18.50 for it.

They won`t be getting any of my miniscule money hoard, whether I watch it on a pirated stream or not, because they are being so damned greedy.

Also, I can`t stand Hearts.

thanks Stanza, I should have know better !
you also had an extra slash hence Dave not getting link, working now.

I don`t particularly want to go into the ins and outs of prices or whether you like a club or not, lets just keep this on topic about pirate streams.

would you like someone at east end park standing at the North Door stand collecting £2 to allow people into EEP and pocketing the money themselves ?
its the same thing so why the "NAH" ??

By the way, been looking at pirate streams for quite some time, just a coincidence that Pars are playing tomorrow against Hearts, wasn`t meant as a connection.

Their story is to do with people restreaming matches and taking money away from other clubs (not Hearts)

There has been the same with another club fans who stole money from Dunfermline with a pirate restream.

I know of someone who can watch Pars TV for free through a Fire stick. I'm pretty sure that must mean that one of the Pars TV subscribers must be streaming it in for some reason, I guess they are making some personal gain out of it. Pity there wasn't some way to identify who it is stealing money from the club

Thanks, desperate to find out more about that kind.
Do you know if it happens to be from ParsTV official stream (or say an artificial camera stream)

Obviously if there are security problems/holes with parstv I`d like to find them

I`ve tried to get the Content Delivery Network to put unique code on the stream but no luck so far with that addition

So someone is effectively hacking streams potentially? Bit of a low blow for some clubs. I suppose one thing is they probably wouldn't pay in the first place.

It sounds like someone pays for the stream and then rebroadcasts it themselves and either charges a lower fee or picks up ad revenue from doing it.

Because of the poor quality of live stream last week against Ayr Utd I was briefly watching the game on my TV and iPad, suggesting Parstv has no method of identifying how many streams are being requested/delivered by/to a single account.

This was not the case when I paid to watch the Ayr Utd away game in November, I paid for the match in advance using my iPad and come match day it was the only device that the streaming service reckognised and I had to watch the game on that. Perhaps Parstv could contact the streaming service providers of Ayr Utd football club and discuss their security protocols?

The drama we'll have is that the AI stream isn't done through ParsTV...

Pixellot is trash on many levels.

Unique codes will only work if you have them moving about the screen, like an old Windows 95 screensaver.

This then pisses off the legit viewers as it becomes right PITA having a number floating around. If you leave it in a 'fixed' position then the person restreaming (unless they are a total numpty) will just cover it in the corner of their screen with a bit of paper, etc to hide it.

At £18+ a pop for a legitimate stream Hearts would be naive to expect anything else. Crazy pricing.

Thursopar, I presume you were using these devices at the same location ?
I`m in constant contact with Ayr to discuss ideas and methods.

I`ll post a separate message about an issue we had last week as the stream quality dropped a level.

I also understand and appreciate the point about unique codes on a stream.

Brian, I was at the same address. I was trying to determine if the streaming issue was a poor internet connection or my tv.

Brian, as someone who has lost his job through COVID. I’ll hold my hands up and say I have been watching illegal streams as I can’t afford £12 never mind £18.50 (not an excuse I know). The good news for you is I have never found a Pars tv restream, however I did find a pixellot stream from the Ayr Utd game. Please don’t shoot me for being honest!

Is the pixelot stream an spfl thing then? Anyone know who it's for? Who has access?

Pixellot was originally intended to be used to provide a stream for overseas betting companies, intended just as a camera.

They offered it to the SPFL (due to covid) and they setup a system for Championship clubs. Some clubs decided to use their own cameras as before.

Some League 1 and 2, ad Highland League are using teh system.

I was meaning, who has access to them now? We obviously have our own service so don't use them, but there's still a pixelot stream being provided to some, and being pirated from there.

I wondered if the spfl might be making them available to journalists or something?

Judging by lux par's post on the other thread, the pixelot stream is available via betting sites, so my guess is that's where it's being restreamed from.
