The ground staff at East End last night ,with the rain sleet and snow all day ,couldn't see the game being on, or certainly not lasting the full 100 minutes .
Not only did the pitch hold up ,from what I could see didn't even cut up , compared to Hearts expensive hybrid pitch ours looked in better condition
Congratulations to all the staff involved ,you contributed to 3 points and a great result .

The transformation of the East End pitch in recent years has been remarkable. Not so long ago last night`s match would not have had a snowball`s (sorry!) chance of being on but we must have one of the best drainage systems in Scotland now which, together with the care provided by the ground staff, means the pitch is playable even in horrible weather.

Yes,in the early days, the pitch was a nightmare. Slightest frost or heavy rain, and game was almost certainly off.The grounds people, do a fantastic job.Well done guys !

The ball didn`t appear to "hold up" at any time , which given the conditions was quite remarkable and huge testament to the groundstaff.
