I thought this was quite a good watch. I vaguely remember the game and looks like it was the last home game of the season in our first season back in the Premier League where we finished 5th under Paton.
I seem to recall we used to be the main game on Sportscene on Saturday night quite alot back in the mid 90s between our spell in the first division and eventual promotion to the Premier League. Always thought Jock Brown was an excellent commentator and used to always be pretty complimentary about us.
Happy Days.

Link isn’t working Frank :(
Agree re Jock Brown though, I enjoyed his commentary and some of his lines on our games are now a bit part of my memories of watching (and re watching!) highlights.

I think EEP was an attractive venue for both Sportscene and Scotsport particularly in the Leishman and Paton eras.
In the 80’s we’d feature regularly when in the old First Division such as games vs Morton, Dumbarton, QOS and of course the double bill of Clyde and Meadowbank when we won the championship.
We had a large support, a manager in Leish who was a huge draw for 📺 and , at the time , a lot of good will from other club’s fans.

We seemed to be everyone`s second favourite team during the Leishman era - apart from the obvious...

Still reckon that Bert and Dick getting us to finish 5th that season doesn’t get the respect it deserves both in and out of Dunfermline. Given the players and budgets elsewhere it was nothing sort of sensational.

Absolutely agree with this considering the budget and resources we had to finish above the likes of Hibs and Aberdeen is some effort. Gerry Britton was quality that season.

So simple yet so effective, get the ball up and out early to the wide players and get running at the opposition.
Even at 2-1 we were looking to kill it off, nowadays you'd be edgy and sit back getting deeper and deeper into your own eighteen yard box as they pushed for an equaliser.

I remember that game well. It started off with my son who was about 20 at the time waving his black and white scarf at the Kilmarnock team bus as we saw them going over the Forth bridge. Then we had that wonderful end to the game.

Thankfully Killie won the Scottish Cup a couple of weeks after this.
