OFW
Comrie
Murray
Watson
Edwards
Banks
Wilson
Whitaker
Murray
Wighton
McManus
My only criticism of SC is wee don’t start games in the front foot and are sometimes overly respectful of what the other team can do.
4-4-2 on the front foot from the start.
Mon the Pars!!!!!!!!!!!

I would start Turner for either Wilson or Whitaker and I would start O`Hara for a change alongside Wighton who, as he hasnt played much this season, can probably only give 60 minutes then bring on McManus.

With Dow out, I`d guess one of O`Hara or Wighton might start up front with McManus. If not Turner maybe coming back to play behind McManus.
I`d go....
Fon Williams
Comrie
Watson
E Murray
Edwards
F Murray
Wilson
Mayo
Banks
O`Hara
McManus
Subs: Gill, McDonald, McInroy, Turner, Thomas, Wighton & McCann

Need to get Fraser Murray on from the start and give him a run in the team

Would like to think Fraser Murray and Banks will start in wide positions and Wighton with Declan or Kevin up front, question is who plays in the middle of the park.
Alloa are very much possession based team and the lad Cawley drifts into the middle of the park for an over load all the time so helps if we are strong in the middle of the park, they have changed formation recently too to 3 at the back so will have the midfield crowded which we need to take charge off ideally.
One things for sure, the melt down on here by the usual folk who think we should be 4 or 5 up at half time cause its a part time team bottom of the league against us, failing to see the tactics, formation and positions of players from the limited angle on the online stream.
1-0 win in the last minute would do as long as get the 3 points today against whats been bit of a bogey team in the last 2 or 3 seasons for us.

Definitely agree with Murray getting a run along with Banks. Wighton has to start, give us a bit of freshness up front, playing him with McManus will allow Declan to do the things he likes in the middle of the park. Hopefully we’ll start with 2 up front this time.

Think we would all like to see an attacking line up, but 2 or 3 strikers on the park doesnt always mean gonna create and score chances, Dundee Utd played 3 strikers for weeks and rarely troubled the opponents, just gone to 1 up front and scoring goals again, so doesnt always work out great just having more strikers on the park.

Surely Wighton will start with Declan up front with Banks and Fraser Murray wide

It`s like most games we play we give too much respect to other teams
I think where we have been on the front foot and taken the game to the opposing team we have looked better and have won the game !
Today since we are at home I don`t want to see a gung ho approach but would certainly welcome a more attack minded team , IE; any from this lot Murray, Banks on the wings & McManus, O`Hara, or Wighton up front not caring who starts as long as we get the win , this game can be won in the middle of the park if we dominate it and give our forwards the service and back up they need .
SC knows how Alloa like to play and their normal formation so as normal he will set his side up for this to get the win and 3 valuable 3 points
A few goals in the piggy bank wouldn`t do any harm either but I will take any kind of win
And in the other games today if they all draw it will be fine

I do think the fans deserve to know what is going on? We are the customers who ultimately pay to keep the club going. Even if we don't get all the detail, we are entitled to some sort of explanation surely? The lack of that only fuels more inaccurate speculation.

why ?? we have a large squad now and least 1 player won't make the bench each week, u wanting explanations for every single decision that's made ?
simple, he isn't in the best 18 man squad to cover what the management think is required to get a result in todays game. No one queried Whitts missing the Arbroath game did they !

Turner was one of our best players.. Something has happened like it or not for him not to be playing/in squad. You can dress it up anyway you like saying we only have 18 places etc, the very least he makes the bench though so something has went on behind closed doors.

See what I mean about speculation? Turner would be in the squad on merit if fit. If he wasn't fit, they would say so. So there is another reason. If he is not in the right frame of mind to play for whatever reason, just say that. We don't need the small print but to say nothing just fuels the fires.

Surprised to see Stefan Scougall now part time with Alloa.
Talented laddie, should be playing at a higherr level - what's the story there?

What state to get in about someone no playing what difference will it make on your day to day life knowing why he wasn't picked.

He’s not in a state, he just wants to know why one of the better performers isn’t in the team, entirely reasonable.

Here’s more speculation.
Out of contract in the summer, rumours he’s signed a pre elsewhere, Crawford giving him the cold shoulder(rightly so).

Let’s face it if he was injured Stevie would say so as he does about the rest of the players. Personally I think we are coping ok without him. However you don’t go from being one of the first names in the team to nowhere near the squad for nothing.
