If it was played in my back garden I would shut the curtains.

The wrestling has been the most entertaining thing I've seen so far.

Rooney scores with a wonderful header.

Quality header but as the commentary team said I'm surprised they didn't have anyone on the post.

More "hoofball" than football so far. Surprisingly little played on the deck. Haven`t seen so many headers in a long time.

Completely forgettable second half , Rooney rightly awarded MoM.

Saints deserved it. Not a classic although I'm sure they won't care now.

Fair play to St Johnstone. Must be tough to be a fan and win it for the first time in their 137 year history and not be at the game or be able to go out and celebrate afterwards.

Congrats to St Johnstone. Really chuffed to see Davidson win silverware in his first season as a manager.

This feels like a massive opportunity lost for us to win our first league cup. We blew it on penalties against them but if we won, who knows? At least we were knocked out by the eventual champions!

Shaun Rooney scoring the winner in a cup final is something I would never have expected a few years ago. Credit to him as he looks like he has improved massively. He is even being touted for a Scotland call up now as we are struggling for right backs. Unbelievable!

Good luck to St . Johnstone. Remember 68 cup semi replay, was a traumatic experience, to say the least!

Really pleased for Shaun Rooney - I watched Queens Park in a play off game just before he left them and he only made the bench - he then had a spell with us when he was pretty underwhelming - a real favourite at Inverness though and now doing fantastic at St Johnstone - and scoring in the quarters, semis and final - not bad for a full back - and his karaoke performance on Twitter after the game is fab!!! A real shame the Saints fans couldn’t have been at Hamden to enjoy it with him.

Nearly five years ago now, but my abiding memory of him at East End will be pouring me a pint in Legends just after we'd won the league.

I don`t suppose Livi fans will be too bothered about not being able to attend.

Sadly I doubt if Hampden would have been full if played in normal conditions.

At least we didn`t have to watch Nisbet scoring against us in the semis.

It turns out Shaun Rooney has good footballing connections. His great-uncle is ex-player and -manager, Benny Rooney and his great grandfather, Bob Rooney, was the Celtic physio for many years.
