Perhaps he will go to Ayr or Morton. Slightly less pressure, or he might take retirement and become a pundit.

8 years and never out of top 4, cup win, semi finals, never seems enough though.
Goodwin will be hot favourite.

Clarke to Celtic after the Euros, and McInnes for Scotland would seem plausible.

I love it when we go sell Kevin Nisbet,
He's gonna pay for everyone this season.

Done an excellent job at Aberdeen especially when you consider where they were under Brown and McGhee before him. Also brought on the likes of McKenna, Cosgrove, Ryan Jack and Graeme Shinnie and made some big amounts in transfer fees.
Time looked right for a change as things look like they have got pretty stale over the last couple of seasons.

Awight Pat!

Its odd most dons fans I speak to seem sick of him.

i think had he won another trophy, any other one, he would be regarded much higher, as he did lose a lot of semis/finals. Granted most v celtic

I think Aberdeen are going to live to regret that move. He's done a very good job overall.

Stephen Glass is the 6/4 favourite to take over although I did also see a director of football role mentioned for him. Enzo Maresca who i`d never heard of but manages Man City`s youth academy is second favourite.

This makes sense given glass is at atlanta united and they have a partnership with aberdeen.

He coached atlanta last season and did ok. He will then bring in some young atlanta players to get them experience before returning to MLS

All our newspapers have column inches to fill, as you're well aware, BPP. I'm fairly sure Celtic don't know their top target and journalists are coming up with different names on an almost daily basis. At one time, Eddie Howe was quoted by the bookies at 1/6 and a week later he had drifted to 9/1. 😃

Maresca would be similar to Rangers taking a gamble on Gerrard. Was he not managing the youth team at Liverpool. There's also Mikel Arteta from City assistant to Arsenal.

Back on topic, the timing of McInnes's departure is strange if they don't have anyone lined up. Why not wait until the end of the season?

Not your average Sunday League player.

The Dons supporters will be preparing a warm hand for Browns entrance right enough.
