 Get Turner back in Midfield

Honestly it’s not rocket science and the team has been brutal in midfield with no attacking mid helping the front players?

Wilson is the pass back then to wide but we need a player that goes forward from midfield.

Something has transpired to keep him out because he was showing great form before he was dropped and didn`t seem to be injured. Plenty rumours were doing the rounds but nothing substantial has been reported to explain the situation. We do seem to be overloaded with a host of players now who must be chapping at the manager`s door looking for a game.

I don’t care about any other midfielders.... Turners our best attacking midfield option at the moment and needs to start the next 2 games.

"He’s got better since he was dropped"

spot on!

3 wins in 6 since being left out of the squad.
1 win in 6 before and him being in "great form" apparently.

our best attacking midfielder that doesnt score goals and doesnt create chances.

Very much doubt if the team`s poor form could be laid at Turner`s door. Our front players were more to blame with our wingers going off the boil and Euan Murray`s goals drying up. Turner does provide a bit of attacking flair, not necessarily in great thrusting runs but has good forward passing ability.

He had a decent third of a season, after a poor season last year where I clearly remember a number of games where he was lambasted by large sections of our support. He’s definitely got better while not playing, working his ticket for a move away at the end of the season for free. That whole posting doing a run on social media while we were playing really outlined to me his mentality at that time. Showing off that the reasons for his non selection were not fitness related, a proper two fingers to the manager.

Average player is instantly transformed into Xavi/Iniesta when not selected.

Not going to be here in a few months time so concentrate on folk who want to play for us.

That aside, he is a big miss.

I do think folk go OTT about him, his goals and assists for someone in his position is poor.

I think it`s become fairly common knowledge now that Turner has rejected our contract offer.
It`s the managers job to pick players but I don`t see the difference between Turner leaving and Banks, Murray, Mayo and McInroy also leaving

Similarity may be with Murray whose contract is also set to end, but not the others who are on loan. Turner at least has recently been on the bench and came on as a sub yesterday. Thus what may have happened that resulted in manager leaving him out may have been sorted out.

A few countries pausing Astrazenica now....proper testing would have exposed these issues, I suppose that's what the public are for.

This new lad Astra Zenica - I’ve heard he can play a bit.

May not be to everyone’s liking but what’s the alternative?

Got a bit of needle in midfield but more likely to join Partick as he`s a big fan of the Jags.

"common knowledge" = dot net wisdom

If it is the case that he's leaving, the point you make suggests the problem is the player himself rather than the manager.

His 5k run Instagram post was a proper GIRFUY to the manager.

're the other lad mentioned. It was great to see him available so quickly. I've got first hand experience of him and he's sharp. Let's hope he keeps having the disired effect over the longer period and not just be one of those ones that delivers immediately after getting a new contract but fades over time.

"Common Knowledge". Please show me where this is common knowledge? I haven`t read that anywhere. Until I hear that from the club , I will go on thinking he should be in the team

My son got the Astrazenica jag on Thursday, he wasn't well even today. His mum and I had the Biontech jag about a month ago. Both of us have had no problems, indeed even although I will soon be 67 I feel that I could play in midfield for Barcelona never mind Dunfermline. 😂

Tbh if he has rejected a contract offer he should play his best till he leaves the club as he is under contract.
He is one of our best attacking midfield options and I would be astounded if he was not starting because he never signed a new deal.
We need him to start for the next 2 games...

Saw some photos of Turner from game on Saturday. Looks like he has some sort of support on his left leg. Perhaps he was out with an injury.

It`s amazing how a player`s ability soars when he has been absent for a few weeks. In fact, his early-season form had shaded a bit when he lost his place in the squad. If he is moving on I wonder where he`s going? Is it likely an established SPL side would sign him? Why not give him a pre-contract agreement?

Maybe he hurt himself doing some of his 5k runs on Saturday morning.
Him doing that sort of thing on game day then posting about it on social media was a massive eff you to the Manager, his team mates and the fans. He can do one as far as I'm concerned. He's not that great anyway, wasn't really a guaranteed starter until earlier this season
