...it is a bit jerky, but they seem be trying to make multiple cameras work, and the actual picture quality is much better than Pars TV has ever been, for me at least.

i think the camera work is pretty good. Not afraid to zoom in, much closer views of the action.

Also enjoying the commentary. Much better than our home games. Commentator happy to ask Andy Ritchie a question without also giving him various options for his answer (which does my nut in on ParsTV).

I don't think our fans who volunteer to do the Pars TV for the fans and club deserve this kind of criticism. It's not like you're paying a Sky subscription to listen to professionals..

I can only find 2 relatively gentle criticisms of Pars TV on this thread. Both are valid opinions. It's reasonable to criticise any service which is paid for, in my opinion, even if the people providing it are doing it without pay.

Defence - Dodgy
Midfield - Can’t string two passes together

Good stream and commentary but they do have a former legend helping out in Andy Ritchie. The game is utter p*sh to be fair from both teams.

I would like to take a moment to ask fans to lay off the commentators whether our own or elsewhere.
They are all volunteers who in normal circumstances do this to a couple of dozen fans abroad.
I find it really sad some expect SKY Sports standards just because you’re having to pay to watch something that hasn’t changed in years.
Please give them a break ffs

Don`t think people expect sky sports and I have always found that a stupid statement as to my knowledge nobody has ever expected that. Although i understand the guys who do parstv are doing it for nothing I have found myself wondering if they watch the same game to us at times. Just because they dont get paid for what they do doesn`t mean they should get praised for what some might think wasn`t upto standard. If you paid money for a service and found it below par (excuse the pun) you would be well within your right to complain / give appropriate feedback.

Aye but equally everyone has different opinions. Also commentators can see the whole picture your just seeing a relatively small element of the whole thing.
Even with discussions between them cannae always agree with what's said but that's their interpretation of events/tactics etc.
If crowds were in i would like to see the option to have crowd noise or commentary.

It's no slating folk though. Some people see what can be perceived as a negative comment and retaliate. It's no...it is simply someone's opinion that if they are making a comment about it then they have bought it and used the service. So yeah they have a right to voice opinion.

Never even bothered with the game tonight first time this season.

Losing interest - don’t mind drawing or getting beat if we were playing some decent football.

Only been 3 games this season I’ve enjoyed. The rest has been woeful.

To be fair to Matty Todd, nobody has really made a pass all night!

Don't think our strikers have won a header again from an OFW kick.

Both teams rank rotten.

Chick Young slaughtering both teams for playing hoof ball all game. He`s obviously not watched us for a while! I can`t understand why we keep playing like this when we have the players to play decent football in the attacking positions!

Commentators just summed it up - Morton keeper had his quietest game this season - I really want O’Hara to come good but he’s been dire - unbelievably we’ve got even worse since the substitutions - wish it had gone straight to penalties.

Some comments on here are embarrassing. The sense of entitlement and sounding like old firm fans. We aren’t Bayern and can’t expect free flowing football and beating teams easily. Players can go off form, plus they had 2 weeks without training recently which would have an impact.

Crawford really needs to go.

Team is brutal. We won’t finish in the top 4 we are going backwards.

No form, no back to back wins since October. 1 win away from home.

Folk will say we have got good home form, well that’s on the way out after Saturday.

"Some comments on here are embarrassing. The sense of entitlement and sounding like old firm fans. We aren’t Bayern and can’t expect free flowing football and beating teams easily. Players can go off form, plus they had 2 weeks without training recently which would have an impact."

We have been shocking for weeks. In fact, we`ve not played well since the Raith game. No one is expecting us to be Bayern or Barca but we expect us to deliver more exciting performances rather than the negative play we have witnessed recently. Personally, I was very excited about the season ahead with the signings we have made. Apart from Dundee and Hearts I would say we have the strongest squad and we should easily be securing a playoff spot.

Crawford seems to be excellent at recruiting players but is not getting the best out of them. Yes we are in the playoffs but we have been awful and have majorly ridden our luck recently. The way we are playing we could easily fall down the table in the next few weeks. Each week it is difficult to see where a goal is coming from. We look solid defensively however we look lost in the midfield, especially since we have let go our best attacking midfielder. It`s not looking to rosy at the moment and no one can criticise fans for getting impatient.

Haha you just wait for the next match when we will be even worse that the previous game. Sounds like a pathetic game of football. We are in total disarray, lacking any structured and consistent midfield, and unable to score despite having McManus, Wighton, O’Hara who are all capable strikers in this division.

Will we make the top 4? Cannot see it myself.

No excuse for that performance - for good players to just punt the ball into the opposition half, just for it to come right back for 120 minutes, suggests there is something wrong. They weren`t good, but the few moments of football came from them.

Nothing to do with a sense of entitlement - that was a truly dreadful performance - the most worrying thing is that it was exactly what I expected. I keep hearing about all these great Crawford signings - who are they? I don’t even know what changes I’d make to improve things - what I’d give for the Airdrie pairing of Paton and Turner right now.

People can slag off Chick Young all they like but if he was critical of us tonight then he was dead right - if we play like this in the next 2 televised games then he won’t be the only commentator slagging us off.

It’s a good job we’ve got a solid back line.

I know there were a few fresh faces but it was the same old display , we certainly need to start an play better than of late or we will find it hard to stay in the top 4

I don’t think SC recruits players? I thought Jackie M’s consulting company find the players. I am sure SC has an input once they have been identified. Happy if someone can clarify otherwise. Cheers

You know what, Rusty Shackleford? I’ve been called a “happy clapper” on this forum more times than I care to remember. Positivity is my middle name. But I also tell it like it is. And over the past few months - note, not just games! - the overall standard of our football, from front to back, has got worse and worse. Something’s not right.

I`ve heard him state he has watched players for a while before signing them summeragent so I can only assume he has an input.

Anyway, decent recruitment isn`t enough if you can`t get the best out of them. He needs to go. He just isn`t cut out to be a manager. One decent performance every few months or so isn`t good enough.

I agree. I think we have the quality of players to get us in the playoffs. Unfortunately SC is not good enough to organise those players. There must be a real lack of harmony at the club and I worry that few of our players will want to be at EEP next year and we will go through the rebuild process again!!

People are blaming the players - I don’t think they are the problem though - we actually have a really good strong team, unfortunately they seem to be getting undermined by an inept management “team”.

I’m beginning to suspect that Turner stood up to Crawford, told it like it is and that’s why he’s been shipped off to Airdrie. If this is the case it stands to reason the rest of the team will be affected negatively.

It’s time to get rid of the management trio now - before Dundee and try build the positivity back.

We just have to move on, no point dwelling on it, we now have a very important game away at Dundee at the weekend.

Crawford will be judged by where the club finishes in the league and as it stands despite all the poor performances we are in a decent position, 3 points within the playoffs with two games in hand.

These next three games will determine for me whether we have what it takes to stay in the playoff picture.

I’m still optimistic that we can turn this around but if we do fall out of the playoffs come end of the season then board will really struggle to justify keeping him at the helm. For the time being though he’ll have my backing.

We have Wighton, Mcmanus , O`hara as front men whom I think are ok
But it would not matter if we had Messi, Ronaldo, Mbappe or whoever they have zero chance of scoring if they are feeding off scraps
The midfield keep punting the ball over their heads to the opposition or giving it away , we are absolutely brutal in midfield no creativity at all
Let`s hope we are only Luring Dundee into a false sense of security for the game on saturday night
I would like to write something positive but the games I have seen lately there are no positivity at all

I can`t fathom how we play so well beginning of the season in the cup games, the last 2 seasons, and then over the next few months get progressively worse throughout the season, again both seasons.

He gets us fired up for a great season ahead then kicks us square in the knacks.

The only good thing is that we should now be spared the nonsense that the poor displays were all because we only hd one forward on the park. Looked like two up and another sitting off them for most of the game, and it was at least as bad as anything else of late. The problem is not one up front, and never has been. The problem is that whatever we have playing behind whoever is up front are contributing nothing in an attacking sense.

Actually, one other good thing - I thought Lewis Mayo had a good game in defence tonight, and well done to him for that. Don`t think I`ve seen him play there before but he did a good job there.

Hard to know where to start with the rest of it. Just seemed completely half-arsed all the way through with everything completely devoid of energy. With all the changing of camera angles I found it difficult to say what our sytem was, but looked like Lewis McCann playing quite centrally in midfield in the second half. I`d be delighted if someone could tell me I`ve got that one wrong because it was a selection that makes absolutely no sense to me and predictably enough, he contributed nothing at all in that position. Even then, he probably managed to be slightly better than Iain Wilson who had a complete nightmare after coming on. In midfield and up front it all just looked odd and if there was a strategy to win the game, I have no idea what it was.

Morton were crap as well and 0-0 properly reflected the game. If you sneak through after playing like that you can just about get away with it, but when you get knocked out after being as bad as that, you have to expect criticism.

While I wanted Craw to be more adventurous in his team selection tonight, how did he think bringing in McCann and Todd were going to assist him with that? Neither has shown anything yet at first team level to suggest they will make it as footballers. Only saving grace at the moment is we are not conceding many goals but creativity in front of our defence is zero.

OK so I was being flippant in my posts above but one thing I absolutely can`t fathom whatsoever is how virtually no-one (it might actually be no-one, it`s not like I`m going to trawl through every post) acknowledges the human side of this season?

Other than the absolute elite level, most closed doors sport is total mince. It`s perhaps the biggest leveler of all time, moreso than crappy surfaces.

It`s no surprise to me that the Championship, usually famously entertaining because of how competitive it is, has been reduced to a turgid sleepwalk of an end of season. Don`t come at me with how well other teams are playing as I simply don`t buy it. Nope.

Despite what you may feel right now, we`re third on merit because we`ve amassed more points than 70% of the league. That`s just the truth. We have zero momentum right now but sport can change very, very quickly.

Oh and didn`t some of the squad have covid a wee while back? You`d think we had a squad of multi-millionaires the way folk expect us to be dealing with this pandemic.

I don`t know about you but I`m struggling. I`m working harder than ever and underperforming.

Cut folk some slack unless you`re perfect yourself?

Rusty and GJS93 -perhaps you might like to give your own opinions on a game for a change, rather than just giving a general criticism of what other people say? Sadly you`ve both been very prone to this over this whole season, which is a shame because in the past you`ve both been capable of writing some interesting stuff.

Sure, things are difficult for a lot of people on a personal level, and I`m sure football players will be included in that. But, as long as criticism extends only to what actually happens around the football it`s self, I think it`s reasonable. Since you both seem to think things have been unfair, can I ask you both what you would consider reasonable, bearing in mind that you have to allow for opinions that are different from your own?

Regardless of how difficult things are away from football, I think it`s asking a lot to expect fans just to shrug and not comment after a shocker like tonight. Do you think that`s what should happen, or are you looking for something else? I don`t mean my questions to be arsey and I hope they don`t come across as such.

It's a good post Socks and I genuinely don't know what the answer is.

I should have added to my post that I'm not qualified to comment on individual games as I've barely watched any of them. I'm working ridiculous hours just now with a young family and spare time is sacred. I'm not spending it watching something I'm not going to enjoy, instead sticking to the lifeline and (unsuccessfully) hoovering up as many 50 50 tickets as I can afford.

While you and others may instantly dismiss my views for that reason (and you'd have every right to I guess) I do think the counter point is that taking a step back and not being so emotionally attached allows for a bit of balance.

I'm well aware that can come across as patronising or dismissive but it can be a bit tedious reading wave after wave of negativity in what are extraordinary circumstances.

You're right though, there is a balance between allowing for the impact of closed doors/covid etc and stuff being unacceptably bad and I guess we're getting too close to the latter for many.

I don't have the answer but what I do wish is that closed doors football ends as soon as possible.

Good post Rusty. Makes sense however as you say not been tuning in but the people that buy the stream are still forking out money and dislike what they are seeing. So their posts reflect that. Yeah it might be negative but it is sometimes hard to put a positive spin on something if it is not working effectively.

Yeah I get that Polt. I can imagine forking out cash, potentially unsatisfactory stream, no excitement, no goals etc. It's dire.

Football isn't meant to be this way. It's meant to be daft, noisy, tribal. I bet you this season would have been significantly better with fans. Ten thousand for the hearts games. Not far off for Raith.

Honestly, barring us scrapping to the playoffs and somehow going through this season can get in the bin.

Absolutely no confidence going into the next 3 games , be lucky to pick up 2 points, easy enough saying we are in play offs the now but I doubt we will be there come end of the season, which After the start we had would be an utter disaster. Our management team consists of someone who got punted from east fife and someone who was at Dundonald Bluebell, hardly inspiring stuff. We have no tactics it’s been an absolute embarrassment the past 2 games especially just punting the ball whatever way we are facing

Thanks Rusty, that`s a fair reply. You`re totally entitled to a view on how things are going generally, I`m just not sure it`s fair to effectively criticise people for their views on a specific game that they`ve actually watched unless you`re in a position to give a different opinion. It`s a long-held annoyance of mine, and I`ve moaned at several people here about this.

And the other side of it is that for some fans, seeing their team is one of few things they`re actually able to do just now. When that one wee pleasure in life turns to joyless tedium, as has been the case just about every week recently, maybe it hits harder than it would in normal times. You might say that people shouldn`t have their emotional state tied to the fortunes of a football club (I think you actually did say similar quite recently) but I`d counter that by saying emotions are things you feel rather than control. I might be able to moderate how much I rant outwardly about something, but I can`t do anything about how it makes me feel. And if I`m tired and worn down (I am), then something annoying like the Pars losing might have have a bigger emotional effect than normal. I guess others are similar.

Football without fans is horrible. I seem to get the full dose of joyless tedium but I`m not feeling the highs and lows, which is what football is all about for me. So, I can certainly agree that I want an end to this as soon as possible.

"Pars fans are fickle. I have always said this and we are temperamental. We also have high expectations - too high to be truthful"

that could be said for nearly every team at every level Polt, whether its the increase and/or influence of social media and forums but its something that has been building for years and isnt going to stop now for the game in general.

"Do you think that`s what should happen, or are you looking for something else?"

not at all, the more the merrier but you mention emotion so ill call it that too, a bit less of that and a bit more of a cool head first if possible.

on McCann, he went in the middle when Thomas came on and it was pretty much a flat 442 at that point, guessing to keep the 2 fresher subs out wide.

Main problem for me (and noted by many) continues to be insufficient creative attacks coming from midfield. Constant head tennis and speculative hoofs in the air for much of last night didn’t result in decent chances. Must be frustrating to play up front and have such limited service and to see the ball and possession given away so often. Was a great ball in from Don Thomas and O’Hara was unlucky his header hit the post. Thomas also made the keeper work from a couple corners. Pity he hadn’t been on from the start. If only we could get a creative attacking midfielder who can thread passes on the deck for forwards to run on to. Neither keeper was troubled much last night and defensively we continue to do pretty well. As another poster noted Mayo dealt with what was thrown his way in the air and Murray and Comrie mopped up what came their way. O’Hara’s first touch seemed better last night but our forwards are not getting good service quickly enough. Wighton looks like he has ability when given decent service. We slow the play down and are too predictable going wide all the time and giving defences more time. Some posters trash every player and I don’t think that is fair. Our strikers need decent threaded quicker balls on the ground from midfield that can split defences and they can run onto. We also miss Ryan Dow.

Didn't see the game but how much was the pitch a factor in the way the team played last night? Would it have been possible to play it on the deck rather than the hoof ball most are talking about?

Don't think it's down to the pitch . We've put in crap performances on all surfaces and in all conditions .
We're pretty adaptable .

the conceding of goals may be coming very soon.

Could see us taking a heavy defeat away to Dundee. They are looking a good side and have the players to do is damage.

Tactically we just hoofed the ball forward at every opportunity bypassing the midfield , we had three strikers/ forwards starting yet barely managed a shot on target , Ohara was unlucky with his header but his overall contribution was poor as was everyone else on the park. i fear for the rest of the season as well as next under the current management team

Can't use the pitch as an excuse, there's been several times when the pitch we've played on isn't great this season but the other team manages to string a few passes together going forward.

It's pretty clear the team is lacking in confidence, so whenever there was a bit of pressure on us in our half we just pumped it forward hoping a striker would run onto it. Nobody in Central midfield can take the ball and bring it forward which will move their players out of position creating space for the wide men or a gap for the striker.

For me, Crawford deserves to try and get things right until the end of the season considering we've always been in a playoff place. However, with the football we've played for at least the last 3-4 months if you don't get the results it's very difficult to defend the season as a whole. Only a few games left now so we have to hope the management team and the players can step up to the plate and try to string some form together.

All the excuses are wearing a bit thin . Pitch was poor , referee was poor , it's too windy , teams are parking the bus against us .
It's about time we stopped making excuses and admitted something is very wrong at eep just now .

Do you think it`s the expectation to make the playoffs at the start if every season that puts too much pressure on the players?

League Cup games it`s like, ach go out and express yourselves, doesn`t matter that much where we end up. And we`re excellent.

Comes to the league, one or two dodgy games and a bit of panic creeps in. Even after a couple of good results we can`t seem to kick on with the confidence, it`s a head scratcher.

Then after Crimbo we just limp through games seemingly clueless, some we win some we lose most we draw.

The players that we start the season with should have those expectations personally anyway, so it`s not like it`s a surprise to them.

None of us know the reasons, whether it`s player attitudes or poor management, but I think most of us agree it`s time for change management wise.

Players on short term contract and loans having a few decent games and then eyeing up their next move instead of concentrating on the job in hand?

The problem is purely tactics, we don’t attack teams.

Has Crawford ever sounded inspiring or motivational?
I said this would be an issue, shame because Stevie can get players and get them playing at the start..but has proven again hd cannot maintain it.

Carole Baskin fed Rasta to a tiger.
