They did reasonably well against Hibs and Dundee earlier in the season and Cove only beat them on penalties.Hearts are awful and have been for a good while now.I have to say I wasn`t shocked. Doesn`t say much about our division.

Regardless of circumstance I can`t think of another that is bigger. Though a Jambo I know says he`s not surprised haha.

Not after watching Hearts draw 0-0 with Arbroath at the weekend. They are garbage. Wouldn`t have been putting my mortgage on them to win but thought it would be a tight match. They only lost 3-1 to a much better Hibs team a few months ago.

They took Morton to a replay last season too as well as knocking plenty other league teams out.

Biggest shock in a generation. Hearts were in just in the final in December and Brora have I think only had one bounce game in 2021 and sure have only played - league game prior. Great advert for highland league and the pyramid. Ironically can’t play league games between now and next round.

This....every game tonight with exception of Montrose has been close...there is not much difference between teams now. I say get the leagues reformed and make a third get them back up to 16 per league

Scotsman headline is worst result in Hearts’ history.

Highland League Fraserburgh beating
First Division Dundee in 1959 was probably a bigger achievement.

You could also argue that Berwick Rangers v Rangers in 1967 was as great an achievement given the disparity in resources.

But to be fair, the Brora result is right up there with those games. Even though Hearts are a second tier team they're still one of the biggest clubs in Scotland.

They beat Buckie Thistle in a friendly at the weekend. They were 17 points clear in the Highland League last season when it was stopped too. We`ve seen what Cove have done in recent years so wouldn`t surprise me if they were to follow a similar path. It`s not on the same level as Supercaley going ballistic imo but a great result for them all the same with Stranraer(who they knocked out a few years ago) at home in the next round.

Remember this Hearts team won something like 5 out of 50 games in the Premier League which makes their lead at the top of our table all the more disappointing. I know a few Hearts fans are calling for Neilson`s head.

ICT were at least a Scottish League club when they knocked out Celtic, as were Berwick when they beat Rangers.

Is the gap between the Championship and the Highland league any bigger than the top flight and the lower leagues? As Stanza says, it's definitely up there with the biggest shocks.

It`s good that we at least have the pyramid system now to see what the ceiling of these clubs is. Will be interesting to see how the lower leagues change over the coming years. There will be a few clubs sweating down there.

Massive shock - but nothing matches Berwick 1967.

Rangers had several internationalists, were defending cup holders, and also reached the final of the ECWC later that season.

I don't know a Jambo who didn't see last night's result coming.
