Strong looking attacking side, I just don't get what everyone sees in Lewis Mayo, I can't think of a game where he has lived up to the hype.
East End Park is a symbol of all that is DAFC.

He speaks perfectly English and we just shipped 8 goals in two games, are you really wanting the status quo?

Pretty decent 1st half performance! Team seem have to come out with something to prove after a poor run which is what I wanted to see. Hearts can't handle us on the break with 4 really good chances. We should have scored at least one of them however so I hope we don't regret that.

I don't think it has been an exciting game but we've largely nullified Hearts and had 3 very good chances of our own so it'll probably feel decent for most Pars fans I think.

The tactics and formation are working well, we just need to put one of the chances away. Two/three players break from McManus in the middle as he slips a great ball in behind the high Hearts line, it`s a good way of playing to our strengths.
McManus` battling in the middle and his final ball have been spot on so far

Could be 2 or 3 up and yet only one shot on target . Should really be testing Gordon more .
Not sure we'll get as many chances 2nd half . Jambis will probably sort out their left defensive problems out .

Had a header off the bar and has done fairly well at the back. I might be overly harsh but I think he possibly should have put the header away although it certainly wasn't in the sitter category.

Agreed but replicate that level of performance over the remaining games and we can be optimistic. Need to be more clinical and the 2nd half was a bit more even but overall we created the better chances against the best side in the league
A massive improvement over the last 175 minutes.
Edited to add my agreed was at Elvis Lives.

I’ll take a point any day. Our first half performance was chalk-and-cheese compared to Tuesday. Some great movement and interlinking plays; several exhilarating breaks - chances sadly not taken - and a general upping of the tempo from the midfield players, closing down Hearts at every opportunity.
Second half? After a reasonably dominant first 45 minutes something seemed to have changed. The slickness and passing went out of us and we were back to lumping the ball .... well ...... anywhere. Why? We had Hearts rattled and we let them off the hook. Indeed we could almost have blown it near the end.
But let’s not be churlish. A point is a point, and there were definitely green shoots in that performance. Great to see the range of players who got into potential goal-scoring situations - O’Hara, Banks, Wilson, McManus and even Gaspuitis. If only one of them could have finished!
I’m hoping that Banks’ injury is a niggle and not a sideliner. He is a great acquisition.
Gaspuitis looks to be slotting in well and providing a strong presence in defence.
And though OFW had a couple of flappy moments he also had one fantastic save for which he deserves due credit.
Can honestly say I’m looking forward again to the run-in.
As an afterthought, I have to say I was pretty unimpressed with that Hearts team. If they’re going to survive in a higher division they’re going to need a root-and-branch rebuild. And surely Neilson is living on borrowed time?

Well done to Stevie Crawford today. Anyone who watched Tuesday`s game in any way analytically couldn`t fail to come to the conclusion that he made an erse of that one, but on the whole he had us set up pretty well today, and it`s worth saying that.
Playing as we did, we gave ourselves a chance to compete and we were certainly the better side in the first half. No great surprise that Hearts were better after half-time and pretty much controlled the second half. The best thing today was that we managed to get through a long spell when we were struggling to get into it, and didn`t lose a goal. If you can do that, you always have a chance, and with a bit of luck we might have sneaked a winner as well.
Maybe it wouldn`t be a thrilling game for a neutral, but as someone with a strong connection to one of the teams, I thought it was OK and quite an interesting game. I said to my Dad just before kick-off that a draw would probably suit both sides today given how it`s gone recently, and I think both will be happy to take a point from it. The draw was fair enough today, and it was miles better as a game than the last 0-0, against Morton in the Scottish Cup.
Am I being totally biased in thinking we got very few of the small decisions today? So many times there seemed to be a subtle foul on one of our players completely ignored, only for us to then give away a more obvious one a couple of seconds later.

The most important thing about today was we got a reaction. No heads down, no feeling sorry for ourselves and every player put a shift in and on chances alone, we should have won handsomely.
The last performances were unacceptable and the players responded so I’ll take it.

Needs to be followed up tho .
Been a habit this season of playing reasonably well against Hearts then dropping our standards the next week .
All in all a good point and gives me some hope for next week against Ayr .

I was moaning we were getting pushed off the Ball too easily
Then the boys showed some grit and hearts players didn't like it. We need to be more like this but less obvious than Mcmanus. That guy... Like his enthusiasm but he's gonna cost us if he keeps up the niggling fouls.
Pleased with result especially since we had wighton out and if he was able to play then confident he would have knocked one in.
Lithuanian done well keeping Gnandulliet under control and was unlucky with the header although Gordon was under it. 2nd half good chances in the box just unlucky the rebounds never seemed to fall to one of our lot. Positives
