Would've bitten your hand off for a point before, all things considered taking 4 points from hearts this season is a good return. Just need to find a way to bring this form into the final games of the season and be more clinical in front of goal.

Chalk and cheese from Tuesday.
It does help to have an appropriate line up.
A very good performance.

Poor finishing, the woodwork and an international goalkeeper stopping us from winning that. No idea how you can play like that against the best team in the league and flounder against Raith and get slaughtered. Anyway, take the positives and move on.
Ayr are not very good so we should be going there looking for all 3 points. Then we have a run of games at home where we simply have to go for it and try and get maximum points. Our last game of the season is away to Alloa, who could already be relegated by then, so you hope if we can take as much points as possible going in to it, we only need to avoid defeat to at least get a play off. Given we have slipped right down, we really need to be aiming to get maximum points I feel now. We have the ability, but only when we set up correctly a la today. Mayo is never a centre half, keep him in midfield. Wilson must start as well. That’s a solid centre mid pairing and we have options to come off the bench in guys like Henderson and McInroy if we are chasing a win or looking to be solid to see a game out.
Top of the league looking down on the F*lkirk!

Good point. We should have probably taken all 3, but it's a testiment to that young team that they bounced back against a team packed full of solid, experienced players. Good record against Hearts this season, we are really not too far behind them. We now have a good run in, time to get behind the team and manager as we aim to make the play offs and do as well as we can

Wighton will be available next week and hopefully Whittaker and Watson too. The more options we have for the run-in the better.

The first half we should have had several fouls the ref gave us nothing and at the end I thought he was going to keep playing until they scored.

Hearts seem to have lost the hunger as the league is pretty much wrapped up and they just want it over.
At least the rot has been stopped. Need to not lose at ayr now. More worried that Arbroath won so it’s tightened up down there.
Things will be looking up……..now yogi is gone!

Would have taken a point before the start of the game !
But on reflection we probably could have had all 3 points , it has stopped the rot so now on to the Ayr Game for 3 points !
Hopefully not too many changes in the team either

Much much better, with two genuine central midfielders in there we will be competitive against anyone. Crawford will have positive selection dilemmas next week with Wighton back and possibly Whittaker and Watson, all the players in their positions (McManus, Mayo & Gaspuitus) played well, hard to drop any of them.

"Poor finishing, the woodwork and an international goalkeeper stopping us from winning that."
To be fair, the woodwork spared us two goals in the first Hearts game at EEP, so things tend to balance out in the long run.

I think if McManus is able to improve his finishing in front of goal he would be playing in a higher league.

We can’t be accepting a point off anyone at home as being good enough when our away record is dross, otherwise we will be in the lower half of the league!!!
